Barfield School - Barfield Bolt

A quick reminder to let everyone in the Barfield School community know that we are hosting the 3rd Barfield Bolt fun run here at the school on Sunday 2nd June 2013. To download an entry form please visit www.barfieldschool.com/bolt.

Barfield School - Barfield Bolt The increasingly popular Barfield Bolt is a fun run for everyone; whether you are an experienced runner or a beginner, aged 1 or 91. The day has a unique friendly and family atmosphere with races for both adults and children.

Barfield School is organising a School Ski Trip to Bulgaria for next year departing 4th April 2014 and returning 10th April 2014. Anyone interested in joining our trip should email [email protected] for more details. Child cost is £939, adult cost is £999. Price includes return airport transfers here and abroad, return air travel Gatwick to Sofia, Bulgaria, 6 nights full board accommodation in a 5 star hotel, 5 x days full ski hire including helmets for all children, 5 x 5 days (5hrs ski lessons). No Swimming School for Friday 18th January 2013. Football / Netball and Synchro School will not take place on Saturday 19th January 2013 due to the current weather conditions.

First time in 23 years that we have had to cancel our trip to climb Pen y Fan in the Brecon Beacons this weekend. Received a call today to inform us that the campsite is flooded! Lots of unhappy children. Our schedule of events at Barfield is so busy that we cannot change the date as we have commitments right through to October 2012. We did try to seek alternate accommodation, without success. Not to worry. Better to be safe than sorry!

Quick line to say that Football and Netball school is off for Saturday 4th February 2012 as we have been advised that all the pitches will be frozen tomorrow and that there is a good chance of a heavy snow fall tonight. All 3pks parties have been cancelled for this weekend.

Well done to the 3pks team who made Saturday's High Ropes taster session such a great success. 30 people down the Zip Wire and 20 people had a go on the Leap of Faith including a few 4 year old children from our own Barfield Reception Class. Great afternoon! Well done.

Football and Netball School starts on Saturday 14th January 2012. If you know of any children aged 5 - 13 years who would like to join in our Saturday morning fun sessions, please ask them to contact our office via email [email protected].

5 days to go until the Barfield and 3pks staff team play the Barfield Parent's team at footie. We are extremely confident that we will be able to squash the opposition with our pace, close ball control skills and goal scoring ability. Bring it on guys! lol

Camps are now filling up fast. The weather has been better this week, but even the weather does not stop us from having fun. Tom Laidlaw was beaten in a table tennis match against Ray Taylor earlier today. He wants to have a re-match. I think I may to video this and publish it on here....
