An update regarding the 2019 Iceland and Ski trips:
The Iceland trip letter will be coming out this week. The delay has been caused as we have had to go back to the travel company to re-quote, as numbers registering an interest in the trip was so high.
In contrast, numbers for the ski trip have been very low, and unfortunately this trip will have to be postponed for 2019.
A letter outlining this information will be sent out this coming week.

We often hear about the negative side of young people but Mr Phillips would like to share with you the letter we recently received.
28 September 2017
Dear Mr Phillips
I am writing to say that your pupils are wonderful!
I had a really nasty fall on the Farnborough Road yesterday afternoon, just as the youngsters were leaving school. I was immediately surrounded by many of them, who were very concerned and caring.
I had hit my face and hands on the gritty pavement, my face was bloodied and gruesome. However, one lovely girl held my hand throughout, another produced tissues and started to mop up the blood, (I had bitten the inside of my bottom lip, so there was a lot of blood) in such a caring and tender manner. Water was offered. Meanwhile, another child held onto my dog, (my main concern). Young boys gave advice and stayed around to help.
I was driven home by a parent and her children, while another parent and her children walked my dog home, they stayed with me until a neighbour arrived.
My grandchildren are at William Cobbett School and are due to come to Heath End at sometime. I can only say how happy I am that they will be going to such a loving, caring school community.
Please thank everyone concerned
A reminder for students that we are having a Macmillan Coffee Morning tomorrow during morning break. If you want to bake or buy a cake to donate, please bring them in and leave on the stage first thing. All cakes will be 50p and all monies will go to Macmillan.
A letter of interest has been sent out today for the Year 7 Activity Day Trip at High Ashurst Outdoor Learning and Development Centre in Dorking. All students will receive a paper copy in their registers, a copy has been sent via Intouch and the letter can also be found on Firefly.
Welcome to Farnham Heath End School
Our new website is now live. Please do take a look.
We are delighted to announce that we have achieved the Silver School Games Mark Award for the 2016/17 academic year.
The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.
Our sporting achievements this year include:
· Increased participation in targeted activities including trampolining, rugby, hockey and girls’ football.
· Greater collaboration with local sports providers including David Lloyd Leisure, Farnham Rugby Club, Aldershot Cricket Club and Aldershot & Farnham Hockey Club.
· Incredible numbers of students becoming qualified to support and deliver coaching sessions by becoming Level 1 or Level 2 Sports Leaders.
· A range of successes with individual sports teams including district and county success in Football and Cricket.
With a total of 705 young people competing in local inter-school competitions this year, we are extremely proud of our students for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.
As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.
A special thanks to:
· Our feeder primary schools for providing so many opportunities for our Sports Leaders.
· All the local sports clubs we have been supported by.
· Team PE, for their incredible drive, enthusiasm and professionalism in all they do. In particular for the time and energy they give to extra-curricular sporting opportunities.
We look forward to applying once again in 2018!

Firefly has now been migrated to the cloud. The new URL is:-
The old URL firefly.fhes.org.uk will re-direct to the new one if entered.
Students and staff log in by clicking Office 365 and entering their school email and password.
Firefly have advised me that the firefly app needs to be signed out (if not already signed out) by going to Settings then sign out. The school code (FHES) then needs to be re-entered. Please communicate this to students if they are saying they can’t see homework etc. And they also need to be aware to click Outlook 365 if logging in from home via a web browser.
