We only have 2 full weeks left until our awesome Lego STEM summer camp starts! We are so excited to begin 😃

Here is the current spaces we have:

July 10th to 14th – Cramond Kirk Halls (limited on some days)
July 17th to 21st – Meggetland Sports Complex (FULL)
July 24th to 28th – Edinburgh Academy Senior School (only 4 spots left)
July 31st to 4th August – Edinburgh Academy Senior School (lots of space)
July 31st to 4th August – Musselburgh Fisherrow Centre (lots of space)
August 7th to 11th – Juniper Green/Currie(lots of space)
August 7th to 11th- Livingston United Church (Just announced so loooots of space!)

Today Kathleen, Abbie and Louise attended a baby & child first aid training course. Each of the classes we run has at least one of us there meaning there is always a first aider on hand for any injuries your child may have.

Below you can see all the types of things we learned about today from nosebleeds and scraped knees to seizures and meningitis.

We want you to feel confident sending your children to our classes and camps knowing that they are in the best hands! 😊

The last of our Summer Camp days is Robot Day!🤖🖥🦾

This day will be filled with coding and learning all about what robots do! Children will build 2 different Lego motorised Robots. They will also make their own craft robot to take home with them 🤖

Day 4 of Summer Camp is Space Day! 👽🚀🛸

Children will begin the day with 3 experiments exploring space and rockets. They will then make 2 motorised Lego models and end the day with some rocket crafting!

We are bringing summer camps to Livingston this year! We will be running from the 7th-11th of August in Livingston United Church. Camps will run from 9am-3pm.

These camps will be best suited to children aged 6-9 but 5 year old's who have completed primary one are more than welcome to join!

Each day will have a theme: pirates, space, dinosaurs, human body, and robots. Every day children will take part in hands on STEM experiments. They will also build 2 motorised Lego builds. They will end the day with a take home craft relating to that day's theme.

Day Three of our Summer Camps is Human Body Day! 💀🧠🫁🫀👀

Children will learn about how muscles work, how the heart pumps blood around the body and will make their own motorised Lego dancer!

This will be a great one for children to learn all about the human body and the amazing things it can do 😀

Day 2 of our summer camp will be Dinosaur Day! 🦖

Children will learn all about fossils, prehistoric plants & insects, and even get to practice being a palaeontologist!

This is sure to be a super fun one for all children!😀

It is officially less than a month until summer camps begin!

To celebrate, every week day of this week we will announce a theme and give some details on what you can expect your child to do that day.

First off we have pirate day! This day will involve build a pirate ship and Lego launcher. Children will also participate in STEM experiments relating to maps and coding. 🧭💰🏴‍☠️

At Young Engineers we are passionate about making learning inclusive for everyone!

At all of our classes there are children with Additional Support Needs (ASN). We ensure we always do everything we can to make sure all children feel welcome and supported. We actively encourage sensory seeking, movement breaks and child led communication.

If you are thinking about sending your child to one of our classes but are worried about how they might cope please reach out to us and let us know what we can do to help. We always want to make everyone feel included 😀

Easter camp is over! It has been an amazing 2 weeks. We met lots of new children and saw a lot of familiar faces too 😊 here is some highlights from our Meggetland camp

Huge news! 😀☀🕶 We are bringing Summer Camps to Musselburgh this year! We have weekly classes in Musselburgh every Monday and have had many requests to bring camps to Musselburgh too.

We will be running camps for 5 days from the 31st of July till the 4th of August. Bookings are now open for the whole week or for single days. All camps will run from 9am-3pm. This is available for all children aged 6-9. £42.50 per day or £185 for the week.

Each day will include 2 brand new Lego builds. We will also do lots of fun STEM experiments. Plus every day the children will make a craft which they can take home.

What an amazing first day of Easter camp we had!

We carried out experiments to see what materials floated ⛵️🛶
We learned about air pressure in hot air balloons 🎈
We made zip wires and learned about gravity 👨🏻‍🚀🧑‍🚀
We made Lego cars and motorbikes 🏎️🏍️
And we made our own boats to take home!🛥️🚤

What a day! We can’t wait to do it all again tomorrow 😊
