Funny Bunnies Childminding, Oakwood.

Lovely walk this morning across the fields! We even saw a very hungry caterpillar! 🐛

When one of our bunnies hasn’t even been here for an hour yet and FULLY explores the play area! 😂🙈
Honestly this was mostly for one child’s doing! 😍
I must say I love a messy play room though- I love it when children explore their surroundings and feel comfortable enough to get stuck in! 🙌🏼

💦 Under the sea! 🐬🐳
Some under the sea creatures and water play this morning! Lots of different textures again and lots of copying the creatures names encouraging these little chatterboxes further! 😍

We are so happy to have this bunny back playing with us again! She got fully stuck on with our song time this morning and loved a little boogy! 🤩🎶

Here are some natural art sun catchers that our bunnies made using leaves we collected from our walks! These were combined with some petals off of old flowers of mine and how cute is the creation! 😍🍁🌿

We’ve explored our woodland sensory tray this morning and have been finding the animals along with the book.
I love autumn! It is my favourite time of year! 🍁🍂 I cant wait until we can officially say Summer is over!
We are going to go and explore the woods this afternoon I think to continue this theme! See if we might see a squirrel or 2... or 3! 😍

So after 4 and a half months of being closed, our Funny Bunnies are now back and playing! 🥰 How they’ve changed so much!
So here is to lots more learning and having fun! ⭐️

With all the madness and isolation in the world at the moment, we have decided to send some self-isolated (and probably lonely) people some pictures to make them smile! 😁
Our bunnies had lots of fun practising their mark making with lots of different materials; sponges, pine cones, pom-poms, and some other odd bits I found! 🌼
Look at the pure joy on my baby’s face at getting paint everywhere; including daddy’s top... 🙄

Charlotte made some of her own this afternoon in our messy activity. She got really into it and even tried flipping her pancake once mummy had showed her how! 😁😍🥞

Afternoon at the farm yesterday.

Charlotte has started taking an interest in colours and is attempting at copying their names, so a lovely colourful invitation to play- messy style, was in order! 🌈 & it definitely got explored! 🙌🏼

It’s our Daisy’s first full day today and we’ve had loads of fun! Sensory bin, crispie cakes and painting! 🥰

A lovely morning had by all today! 💗
We made valentines cards and then hit the softplay for the morning. 🙌🏼
Anyone else want this wind to do one so we can venture outside?!

We woke up from our nap and we had a winter wonderland outside!! ❄️
Charlotte loved her first time in the snow and we even built a little snowman; meet Sammy! ☃️

This afternoon we explored another way of mark making! We used our aqua doodle pen to right on a chalk-rubbed board! 😁
This actually went down much better than normal chalk does!! 🙌🏼

We’ve chosen to couple up with... a very loving and romantic tuff tray this afternoon to start off our valentines activities! ❤️
I have a feeling we may have lots of broken hearts by the time we’ve finished exploring though! 🙈💔

We went for a lovely farm outing this morning! 🐮🐷 I love it when little ones start to learn animal noises! 😍

So while I cook our dinner- little Charlotte was exploring some of the veggies we are having in our dinner! 🥕🍅🥬
Promoting healthy eating can still be done at a young age; she was exploring their textures and smells and even (obviously) tastes! 🙌🏼

As parents (and I too am guilty) we constantly compare our children to others. But why? 🤷🏼‍♀️
Every child is unique! Every child will excel in their own way and when they are ready.
All we can do is simply give them the tools and opportunities to help them grow! 💗🙌🏼

B has finished his settling in now and seems so comfortable and confident already! 😍
We were planning on doing a Chinese New Year related messy play today, but this little lad loves trucks, cars- anything with wheels, so to welcome him in nicely, we set up a cereal road scene instead! And it was a big hit! 🚚

We LOVE some Pom Pom play! It entertains Charlotte for ages! They are so good for developing those fine motor skills and that pincer grip! 👌🏼
So here is a nice little invitation to play using normal things lying around the house! 😁

With childcare spaces filling up now, today was our last class at Toddler Sense! 💗
Such an awesome class and Charlotte really got into exploring it all. It works on their physical development as they have a great soft play area, but really clicks in with all the other areas of development through singing, dancing, games etc!
Will definitely be a class I miss! 😍

Continuing with our Dinosaur theme- we did some potato dinosaur footprinting! Very quick activity but we were roaring as we stamped which was so much fun! 😝🦖
And who doesn’t like a bit of messy play on a Friday afternoon! 😁

When you stop the car and turn round to tell the girls “we’re here!” And you turn around to them holding hands! 🥰

Here at Funny Bunnies we do all of our development tracking and daily routine (meals, sleeps, nappies etc) online!
We are using the app Famly which is so easy to use and the best bit is, that you as parents can access your child’s profile at any time to see how they are doing and what they’ve been up to! 🥰

New year means new topic! We are focusing on dinosaurs for the next few weeks and we thought it was about time we did a true messy play! 🙌🏼🦖🦕
All edible so it’s not a problem if my little one ate any- which obviously she did!
