EIGHTEEN mummies took part in the mum's race at the Totstars Nursery & Forest School - Selsdon sports day! We had such an amazing morning! 😊

Today we explored our climbing skills!

Children used their core muscles to lift their legs over the branch and practice swinging like monkeys🐒

Children learning safety measures and putting it into practice!

They assisted by hitting the knife with a ‘dragon egg’ they found, chopping the kindling in half.

Dinosaurs may be extinct from the planet, but they are alive in our imaginations! 🦕

We are super excited to be running two holiday camps this summer! 😎

Our sports camp is running from Coombe Wood school 24th July - 11th August 9-3pm (extended hours available) for 4-11 year olds.

Today we explored our teamwork skills. We worked together to pick up rocks using the tongs to make the bucket reach the floor. The children soon realised their efforts were weighing the tree branch down and were excited to fill it faster!

As we progressed through the week the children experienced many elements of this rich ethos! We aim for them to meet their own needs within natural areas whilst opening them to new rich experiences! 📈

The children have loved talking about firework noises, colours and exploring messy play to create their own!

Safety first!

Our preschoolers love our outdoor area. They can make potions, balance along the tyres and slide down the slide… the outdoors is for exploring!

Shaving foam, paint and conkers!

Mark making, messy play, counting, measuring, sharing, science… the learning opportunities are endless!

Music and Rhythm is so important for childrens development. Studies have shown that children who enjoy music, singing and rhyming on a regular basis tend to learn to speak more easily.
