In 2022, the number 22 is significant for us as there are currently 1 in 22 school age children with a diagnosis of autism in Northern Ireland.

Last week our Sports Leadership Occupational Studies students hosted the annual Brownlow Soccer Festival. Primary schools from Lurgan, Portadown and Craigavon took part in the tournament.

Boys football cancelled on Tuesday

Congratulations to our girls football team on their 7-2 win over St Louise's Grammar School, Belfast.

We are through to the quarter final of the Northern Ireland Schools Cup were we will take on Killicomaine JHS.

A great team performance with goals from Sophie Graham (3), Jessica Williamson (3) and Rozalia Wroblewska.

A big Brownlow well done to Mrs Warke who completed her first ever 10k race in Downpatrick today. In disgustingly wet and windy conditions she powered round the course, raising £900 for Red Cross Appeal for Ukraine. Inspiring!

Congratulations to both Lurgan Town U13s and Craigavon City U15s girls squads on clinching their league titles. Both squads with representatives from Brownlow IC.

Today is World Book Day and we celebrated it in style here in BIC. Some fantastic efforts from both the pupils and staff. Each pupil received a book token that they can exchange at any bookshop for £1. The pupils and staff also raised money for Links Counselling Service.

Congratulations to our Year 9 girls on winning the Afrimeripean Futsal Club tournament yesterday, playing against Clounagh JHS and Newry HS. The girls played amazing beating two Year 10 teams to get to the final. Congratulations to Sophie Graham who got player of the tournament!

BOYS' FOOTBALL SEASON UNDERWAY

Both the Junior and Senior Football Squads kicked off their respective season's this month. The Senior Squad had a tough opener encounter against league favourites St John's College, but an experience that will set them in good stead for future games.

Today the Junior Squad progressed to the next round of the Mid Ulster Cup with a 4-1 win over Markethill HS. Goals from Leandro Dias, Kian Murphy and Jayden Doyle x2. Hughe thanks to Lismore College for allowing us to play on their new 3G at such short notice.

Miss Kerr is very impressed with the level of organisation and hard work that her Yr11 Child Development class put into planning and delivering a Halloween Themed party aimed at children between 3-7 years old. Well done!

They had a great time enjoying the party food after the hard work was done!

£1 per person - fundraising for Cancer Research, NHS and Action Mental Health.

On Thursday, some of our KS4 pupils attended an event at the Segoe Hotel to learn about careers in hospitality and tourism. It was an interesting and interactive day which gave us insight into local employment opportunities.

At Brownlow Integrated College, we nurture an inclusive and respectful community to empower and build resistance, aspirations and a love for learning.

⭐️Pupils should register with their form teachers as usual at 9am
⭐️Meet Mrs Crick in the canteen after registering with form teacher
⭐️Full school uniform, no hoodies and no nose rings
⭐️A light snack lunch will be provided by the Seagoe.
⭐️The bus will return pupils to school for period 10 and pupils will return to class.
⭐️School finishes at 3:25pm, as usual

Today, students were tasked to build bridges using only paper which could hold the weight equivalent to a mobile phone, it was a puzzling task yet all teams achieved their goals. We have some engineers in the making in our Personal Success and Wellbeing lessons.
