🎶 Voices of Hope 🎶
We are absolutely delighted that our school has been invited to take part in the ‘Voices of Hope’ in St Peter’s Church, Lurgan on Sunday 18th June.
This is a very exciting collaborative project involving choirs from 6 other local primary schools and St Ronan’s College.
Our children have been working very hard every day in school with their Music Tutor, Ms Hanna to prepare and perfect their songs in advance and we would ask you to give them every encouragement to please attend an event which promises to be fabulous and memorable and is in aid of Ukraine and the St Peter’s restoration fund.
The children will sing two songs to represent our school and will then perform as part of a 150+ strong collaborative choir
We will need the children to be available from 4:30pm on Sunday 18th June. Staff from our school will be there to greet the children when they arrive. A snack will also be provided before the concert begins at 6.00pm.
Thank you to everyone who came to our Community Summer Garden Party, we appreciate the support of our school families and the people who helped make the event special. It was an amazing day to celebrate our pupils achievement! 💙💛
The children have been at the centre of this project from their trip to Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, planning and designing the space themselves and the hard work our Eco Team and all the pupils have put in to make Our School Garden an inviting space. We look forward to spending more time in this area from now on ! 🌈 🌻

Our pupils have been working hard in our garden this week again ahead of our Community Barbecue on Saturday 10th June. The children have planted some beautiful flowers and today they are planting lettuce and herbs for a sensory aspect. 🌺🌻
There has also been a lot of work in the background happening to bring the garden together.
We would like to extend our thanks to Mr McDowell from Portadown Health & Wellness and Empower Garden Centre for the support in this project as without him this would not have been possible. 💙💛

Alan McDowell helps primary school children to create their very own school garden Children from St Mary’s Primary School in Derrytrasna have been learning to create their very own garden with the help of Portadown Wellness Centre.

Our pupils continue to develop our new school garden. 🦋🌼
On Thursday the boys and girls in KS2 helped to tidy the outdoor space, gardening and removing any old soil, weeds and dry grass. The children did a super job! 👩🏼🌾🧑🏽🌾
On Friday, continuing our partnership with Portadown Health & Wellness and Empower Garden Centre, Mr McDowell came to start the planting process. He spoke with the children from KS1, KS2 and our Eco Team explaining how we are bringing their garden plans to life. The children showed great enthusiasm and we look forward to spending more time outdoors developing this space. 🌻🍃
