A super day was had by all of Key Stage 2 on our end of year school trip to Emerald Park 🎢💚
We even got to meet local hero Aidan Forker. All the boys and girls wished him the best of luck for Sunday’s big game 🧡🤍

🙌 🏆 Well done to our football teams who both picked up silverware in our final tournament of the year at the Sarsfields today. Well done to Harry McAlinden who received most improved player of the year and well done to James Armstrong who received player of the year.
A big thank you to everyone who helped with the teas, coffees and sandwiches at the Sarsfields. And a special thank you to Francis Reynolds who has volunteered his free time and annual leave on many occasions this year to help with our school team. We really appreciate all your help! 🏆

🏆 What a result today for our footballers who picked up the Danske Bank Trophy at St Ronan’s this afternoon! The boys and girls were amazing throughout and produced a heroic comeback in their final to take home the trophy! 🏆 👏

👩🏻🍳We would like to thank Wendy Donaldson from the Livestock Meat Commission for a fabulous cookery demonstration in St. Mary’s. The children learnt about the Northern Ireland Beef and Lamb Industry, the importance of healthy eating, food safety and hygiene.
We had the opportunity to sample the dish prepared and everyone agreed it was delicious!
Our own P7’s made one of the recipes from the LMC cookery book provided and it went down a treat! 🍴

Today Friends of St Mary's FOSM Treasurer Michelle McDaid & Chair Allison Murphy presented St. Mary’s Primary School, Derrytrasna with a cheque for £830 towards new maths books & maths resources thanks to monies raised in our Tesco bag packing fundraiser over the weekend. FOSM would like to again thank everyone who made this possible. 🌟 🌈
Primary five made their own chocolate bars using a chocolate moulds. Each chocolate bar had to include either chilli flakes or fresh ginger pieces. The children worked very hard to create a recipe choosing from a variety of ingredients. They measured out the quantity of each ingredient with precision and loved sampling the finished products.
Many thanks to Cillian’s mum for her kindness and generosity in providing a special treat from the chip shop for all of the P7s who celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation last night. A big thank you from us all! 😊
