When it's your last day in primary school, it's important to go out in style! And Daniel did just that. Leaving on his Dad's motorbike as a special treat, he left Rowandale for the last time. We are going to miss you Daniel - even your cringe jokes!!
The children of Rowandale Integrated Community Playgroup were treated to yummy Lick Gelato on Tuesday courtesy of Jacob Huttonβs family. The children really enjoyed some tasty Bubble Gum and Strawberry ice cream, complete with sprinkles and mini mallows. Staff even got a treat too! Thanks so much to Jacobβs mum Claire for organising.

Rowandale is the only fully integrated primary school in the wider area, and is recognised as such by the Department of Education. We have two classes for each year, helping to enable families who wish to choose integrated education to be able to do so.
Our success has shown that integrated education is important for families in this area.
In 2004 a group of families in the Moira area were unable to find a fully integrated school where their children would learn to be at ease with religious and cultural differences and where parents could become fully involved in the educational process. They engaged with existing schools and resolved to undertake the journey that led to the opening of Rowandale Integrated Primary School in September 2007.
For the first time families in Moira and it's surrounding villages were able to choose integrated education for their children.
Eighteen children were enrolled in the first year. The school now has an enrolment number of 318!
Situated in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of the picturesque village of Moira on an extensive 4 acre site, Rowandale continues to grow steadily in popularity and has a reputation for educational attainment and genuine integration.
The school accepts enrolments from Year 1 - Year 7. There is a community playgroup on site accepting children from 2 years ten months of age.
