This could not be more true! At Rowandale we have a wonderful team of parents who are involved in all aspects of day to day life at the school. From volunteering for Kiss and Go to helping out in the classroom, we are grateful for every minute that each parent can give us.

Another great Harvest video - this time from Year 2. πŸŽƒπŸ₯•πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸ§‘β€πŸŒΎπŸ₯¦

Our Harvest Assembly took place last week in Moira Presbyterian Church. A beautiful celebration featuring songs, readings and reflections. As always, the Rowandale community showed their generosity by bringing lots of donations for Moira Food Bank. A huge thank you to Rev. Gilpin for hosting our Harvest Assembly.

Year 1 had a lovely week celebrating their friend Jemima's birthday. We made party bunting, made her a birthday card and celebrated with a party on Friday.

Year 6H enjoyed problem solving during Fun Friday Maths.

Year 5 enjoyed using Google Sheets to create some Pixel Art.

Year 1 enjoyed their first well being lesson, taking time to focus on breathing and moving their bodies in a calm way.

Check this handy guide before sending your child to school with an illness that may affect others.
More fun in the forest for Year 2.

Year 2D are delighted to share their Harvest video with you. Enjoy. πŸŽ‘πŸŽƒπŸ₯•πŸ₯¦

Integrated education in Moira - our story

Rowandale is the only fully integrated primary school in the wider area, and is recognised as such by the Department of Education. We have two classes for each year, helping to enable families who wish to choose integrated education to be able to do so.

Our success has shown that integrated education is important for families in this area.

In 2004 a group of families in the Moira area were unable to find a fully integrated school where their children would learn to be at ease with religious and cultural differences and where parents could become fully involved in the educational process. They engaged with existing schools and resolved to undertake the journey that led to the opening of Rowandale Integrated Primary School in September 2007.

For the first time families in Moira and it's surrounding villages were able to choose integrated education for their children.

Eighteen children were enrolled in the first year. The school now has an enrolment number of 318!

Situated in a peaceful rural setting on the edge of the picturesque village of Moira on an extensive 4 acre site, Rowandale continues to grow steadily in popularity and has a reputation for educational attainment and genuine integration.

The school accepts enrolments from Year 1 - Year 7. There is a community playgroup on site accepting children from 2 years ten months of age.
