Last week we said goodbye to daddy 🤍 This photo is how I choose to remember him... Enjoying sharing a book with my little Sé, laughing because he could already turn the pages and point to the animals 😊🐘💙
Daddy was always the 'maths man' in our house. We were directed to him with any tricky maths homework problems, and could be sure that he would bamboozle us with 'old' ways of doing it... which always turned out right!
He gave us every opportunity to achieve and become successful, for which I am so grateful. He will be greatly missed, but we take comfort in the knowledge that he is now reunited with mammy 🪽🤍
Daddy wasn't one for taking much time off! But I'm going to take this week to spend time with my family 👨👩👧
The Reading Room will open again on Monday 7th August and I look forward to welcoming all my pupils back then to continue our summer reading sessions 😊📖

Errrrr... The English language is a tricky one isn't it??! 🤔
Not for this pupil! 😊 After exploring sounds and spellings on the alphabet arc, they took on the challenge of sorting words and spelling them in the correct category... A job well done!! 👏👏👏

Making reading meaningful 💡📖
This is a perfect little snapshot of a wonderful session that brought word work, spelling, reading and writing together ⭐
The letter 'g' that makes the /j/ sound explored in the word 'giant', practised in spelling other words and brought to life in the story of Finn McCool 👌 So much packed in 😅... SO MUCH fun had!!
