**Did you know?**
Most employers think…
"Experience which helps to develop employability skills and personal qualities does not have to be gained in a specific industry for it to be relevant."
Whether you worked in a bar or completed a finance internship, you would have gained not only an insight of the working world, but also developed skills such as time management and team working.
Such soft skills are easily transferable, supporting your attractiveness for other opportunities e.g. in consultancy, teaching etc. Using work experience for your career plan section will help you think through your experience and create your unique story to convince potential employers and universities (if you are thinking of further studies) of your suitability.
https://moodle.warwick.ac.uk/enrol/index.php?id=20081 :
Login in with your Warwick details and click “Enrol me” to use the CARE model in Work Experience L&D course to build a bank of examples to answer applications and interviews questions.
Prefer a discussion in person? Work Experience Drop-in is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays 2pm-3pm (term-time) in the Student Opportunity Hub (next to Curiositea Tea Room).
