🤝What is the CARE Model?

During an interview, you may be asked about your work experience and its relevance to the role you are applying for. Take CARE in answering your questions:

☀️ Context: Set the scene. Describe the circumstances and demonstrate the skills you used or gained.
🌈 Action: What was your role? What tasks or projects were you responsible? Focus on the 'what' and the 'how'.
✨ Result: What was the outcome and what difference did you make?
🌞 Evaluation: What lessons did you learn? How might you do things differently?

For more information, please click here: https://moodle.warwick.ac.uk/mod/hvp/view.php?id=479185

27/05/2019

☀️Still trying to get summer work experience?

Did you know that ALL work experience gives employability skills, transferable to future job? Are you using the skills gained in recent work experience, volunteering and extra-curricular activities in your applications or interviews?

🌻The CARE (also known as STAR) model can help you effectively record & articulate these skills to convince employers of your suitability – check out, “Work Experience Learning & Development Moodle course” (https://moodle.warwick.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=20081§ion=2).

🌸If you are just starting to look into work experience, you may find these Moodle courses useful – “Getting Started with Work Experience” (https://moodle.warwick.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=29208) helps to identify what type of work experience ticks your box and how to look for your opportunity, while “Action Apply” (https://moodle.warwick.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=25810) assists you through all the stages of your application.
