There’s so much more to microscopes…

The Advanced Bioimaging facility at the University of Warwick recently got a new scanning electron microscope.

We’re excited to share the new ways we can tackle scientific challenges with you, so come and find out what is different about this microscope, and what scientific investigations we will use it for.

Creating Hands On Engagement Activities

This workshop will guide you through the ways to create engaging hands on activities based on your research or your area of work. Through exercises and interaction participants will gain understanding of how to communicate more effectively whatever the setting. Ideal for groups or individuals working towards an event or looking for new ideas to share their work.

Television/Death intertwines the study of death, dying and bereavement on television with discussion of the ways that television (and the TV archive) provides access to the dead.

Helen will introduce the book at this event and we’ll hear from some of the people she collaborated with on this project and some responses to the work.

A fun day was had by all at this festival-style day for all ages!

From stars to hedgehogs, slime to poetry and Lego to motorcycles, this event allowed us to explore a wide range of science and technology.

Staff and students from Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Maths, Manufacturing and Engineering came together to teach us all about their specialisms.

All of us developed from a single fertilised cell. How does this single cell generate a complex organism, with distinct organs and complex interactions between them?
