Rock on!

A great morning for a circuit of Keston Common/woods - runs, walking lunges, sprints, press ups, dips, hill runs - no equipment just the great outdoors! No need to be stuck in a stuffy gym - get outside and enjoy the benefits!

Power bags, open space and some sunshine - perfect! (Oh and one tired client). If anyone would be interested to find out what you can do with a power bag (I don't need any suggestions :-)) please get in contact. Have a great weekend all. L

Fitness Test time last night with a long standing client - always enjoy seeing the results of their hard work (I can only take a small amount of credit!) Inches were lost, Body fat % and BMI were down and a weight loss of over 3kgs since the beginning of Nov. It's important to regularly check progress and track/modify goals and with these results it's a massive boost to client's motivation and confidence. I am very happy today.

Exercise advice is 'unrealistic' 22/01/2015

Exercise advice is 'unrealistic'

Finding time for exercise can be tough - just remember that a little is better than none! Get up and move during TV breaks, a few squats/lunges waiting for the kettle to boil, march on the spot whilst on the phone etc. it all helps.

Exercise advice is 'unrealistic' Researchers say current exercise guidelines are unrealistic and argue doctors should promote small increases in activity instead.

Can definitely say it was a "tad" fresh this morning training with client. A good start to the day!

Had my photo taken with a Stick Insect today. As you do.

Just heard on the radio that by the end of Jan almost 60% of people will have given up on their fitness resolutions! You can make changes in a month but there are no sustainable quick fixes just determination to make changes. Dig in and get motivated! Keep going and if anyone needs a little extra help......

Following earlier post - the This Girl Can full advert is going to be on tonight during the Corrie break 7.45pm.

Feel Inspired - This Girl Can 12/01/2015

Feel Inspired - This Girl Can

"This Girl Can" is a national campaign developed by Sport England to inspire more women to take part in sport and to get exercising without fear of judgement. Have a look at the website, and think of a sport/exercise you would really like to try but never have because you are too worried about what other people may think - maybe 2015 is the year to try it !

Feel Inspired - This Girl Can Worried about what people think when you exercise? You're not alone. fear of judgement is stopping many women from taking part in physical activity. But it doesn't have to.

Laugh in the face of rain! (Ha ha) morning run done.

Back to it today! If your new year resolution is to get fit and healthy make sure you plan your sessions:

- Don't go to the gym without knowing what you are going to do. (Plan your time -there is no need to spend hours there)

- Don't do a class you don't enjoy just because you think it is good for you! (You will not stick to it)

- And please, please no stupid diets!

Eating less and exercise more will get you where u want to be. It may take longer but will be more sustainable!

Lastly remember to just have fun if you are not enjoying what you are doing then change it.

Happy New You!

It's the last day of 2014, have you been thinking about setting goals for 2015?

Setting short, medium and long term goals will help you get to where you want to be in 2015 not just with health and fitness but all areas of your life (hmmm deep but true!)

If you are looking to set goals and make real changes to your health and fitness then I would love to help you achieve them, real differences can be made with small changes to your lifestyle.

Anyway, enough of the pep talk! Enjoy your New Year's Eve, celebrate what you have achieved in 2014 and welcome in 2015 with motivation to achieve more - preferably with a glass of something bubbly in your hand! Happy New Year all! L
