Covid-19 update.

As many of you will have seen last night, following the government’s most recent announcement all classes are closed with immediate effect.

Please stay safe and well and I look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we are able.

Number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and risk in the UK

To all students and parents,

I wanted to give you a short update in light of the current Covid-19 situation.

Following the current government guidelines we will be open as normal on Sunday. Should this change, I will update you all on here.

However, if you are showing any symptoms of the virus (temperature, cough and in some casses a shortness of breath), please stay at home for at least 14 days until the symptoms pass.

In addition, if you or any member of your household has come into contact with anyone who has the virus or has arrived back from travelling to Italy, Iran, Hubei Province, Daegu, Cheongdo or Gveongsan in South Korea in the last 14 days, you should not attend lessons for the next 2 weeks.

The school have also asked that all people attending complete a visitor declaration form - I’ll give these out in class as you arrive.

Great to see so many people turn out for the Farrington’s School fun day on Saturday. Fantastic support as always from the school for our demo!
The great weather helped too and allowed us to set up outside the marquee...

A great event in aid of a truly worthy cause. Please speak to me after class on Sunday if you are interested in attending - it’s open to all!

NAM PAI CHUAN COMBAT WORKSHOP

On the weekend of Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th July there will be system workshop open to all grades (including children). The training will cover chin na, knife work, single and double short sticks, and close quarter combat. There will also be demonstrations by some of the seniors and examiners.

Workshop details:

Timing – 14th July 12.30-4.30pm & 15th July 10am-4pm
Venue – Chiswick School, Staveley Road, London W4 3UN
Cost – £20

This event is a fundraiser with proceeds being raised in aid of Sifu Norman Morrison and his family. For those of you who do not know him, Norman is one of the original seniors and examiners of the system and helped the system establish itself in the early years and also trained extensively some of the current seniors. Unfortunately Norman is terminally ill and Master Lai and the system want to help as much as possible.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Farringtons school are running an event tomorrow that means there will be no parking on site. For those of you who are coming tomorrow you will need to park outside the school grounds.
