Tonight is the first parents evening of the year with Year 10. Parents and carers invited to come and visit their student's teachers in the main hall from 4pm to 7pm.

An opportunity to chat to the pastoral team at TAS about local services and resources which can support students and parents alike with their mental health and well-being. Tea and Cake served from 3.15pm! Please come in through reception.

We are excited to introduce an the Inktober Art Challenge! This creative initiative is a wonderful chance for students and staff alike to embrace their artistic side and have a bit of creative fun.
Inktober is an art challenge that encourages participants to create a series of drawings throughout the month of October, using only ink. The only "rule" is that the final drawings must be created using ink, whether it's biro, gel pen, fountain pen, marker, or any other ink-based medium.
Students will gain house points for sharing with Miss Reeves by hand or via email [email protected]
Remember, Inktober is not limited to those pursuing GCSE Art; ANYONE CAN DO INKTOBER! All it takes is picking up a pen and starting to draw.

Apply to join the The Academy Selsey Marine Ecology Club!
This year we will be gaining internationally recognised qualifications in Marine mammals and local focus on rockpool fish.
We will be undertaking trips to do a mini survey, egg case hunt, and beach clean all at Selsey in the Spring and Summer terms.
We will meet weekly on Wednesday afternoons 15:00 to 16:00 Rm 11.

Next week sees the start of Year 11 mock exams, students have already been given their exam timetable - we have posted these as a reminder here along with a reminder of how parents can support with revision.
These exams provide an excellent opportunity for practice and also to identify areas to improve - and as a result, must be taken seriously.

To celebrate the European day of Languages on Tuesday, Ms Alonso and 8 Arun are hosting a bake sale in the Junior foyer during both breaks. At TAS we have many students who use English as a second language and we enjoy the chance to recognise these students through events like this!

We are excited to share our new extracurricular timetable. The program starts on Monday, September 11th, and all activities are free. Students just need to show up to join in. Tutors will provide more information to students during morning tutor sessions.
Additionally, there will be a late school bus running on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday to support as many students as possible in engaging with these extracurricular activities.
