Year 5 have been continuing with their 🌕 moon buggy projects in DT, as well as being creative to produce amazing 🚀 space art! They are thoroughly enjoying our space topic. 🎨

Last week, in science, Year 6 ⚡ produced information pages on electricity before exploring various different types of circuits during a visit from Farnborough 6th Form College. In tennis lessons, they took part in ball familiarisation tasks 🎾 before focusing on the forehand stroke. 🎾

This week in year 5 we have been really creative with our learning! 💡 We have made circuits in science ⚡, learnt how to use a saw accurately in DT 🔨, and practiced our backhand groundstroke in tennis 🎾.

Year 5 have been busy finishing off their maths topic on division and are now working hard to multiply fractions. Whilst, in PE they have been practising their forearm technique in tennis 🎾 and managing successfully rallying in pairs 🤝.

Y6 have had a good first week back after half term! 🎉 In PE, they have enjoyed putting together their own hip hop dance routines 💃. In geography, they explored 6-figure grid references using their own PacMan designs.

Thank you to all the parents and members of our local community who came to our fantastic art exhibition last week. 🎨 We had a great turnout, and received lots of positive feedback on the children’s artwork. 👏🌟

Mrs Wright enjoyed having hot chocolate and cakes with these avid readers last week. ☕🍰 We loved talking about our favourite books and authors. 📚😊

Last Friday, to support their learning about microorganisms in science, year 6 received a visit from
They first learnt about different types of cells 🦠 before using microscopes 🔬 to examine animal and plant cells 🌱🔬. It was really interesting and the children learnt so much from this hands-on experience.

The children in Year 5 have had another busy week 🌟. In English, they have been writing non-chronological reports based on their imaginative planets 🪐✏️. Meanwhile, in PE, they've been having a blast with basketball 🏀 and dance 💃.

Year 6 have been learning about The Blitz in history 📚, using primary and secondary sources to develop their understanding 🧐. The Blitz has also provided inspiration for some excellent collages in their art lessons this half term 🎨🌟.

Year 4 have been introduced to their new writing unit with blackout poetry. They chose key vocabulary in a given text to make their poems suspenseful and exciting 🌋 ✍️

Last week, year 6 enjoyed a brilliant careers session with an Aerodynamics Engineer from McLaren's F1 team. 🚗✈️ This week, they have created classification keys in science 🔬📚, and in PE, they have started to apply their dodgeball skills to game situations. 🏀🎉

Year 5 🌞 scientists 🧪 last week, and conducted an experiment to understand the apparent movement of the sun 🌅 and how shadows

Year 3 has had lots of fun last week! We loved conducting an experiment to observe and classify different rocks🔬. In PE, we practiced our dribbling skills and used different passes in basketball 🏀 We have also spent some time looking at how life has changed throughout history.

In Year 4 📆, we have been exploring Sound 🔊 and how it travels. The children had great fun creating their own paper telephones 📞 and explaining how they worked scientifically. 🧪

3! 2! 1! 🚀 Blast Off! 🌌 Year 5 became astronauts for the morning and used VR headsets to blast off into space to discover asteroids, stars, moons, and planets. 🚀🌠 The children had an amazing time during this immersive experience, which brought to life our learning. 🌏💫

Year 6 have been enjoying their WW2 learning in history 🌍📚. So far, they have explored why WW2 started 🤔💥, looked at the countries involved 🌐🤝, and created iMovies based on the Battle of Britain 🎬✈️. In PE, they have been developing throwing skills in dodgeball 🤾‍♂️🔴 and honing their passing and dribbling skills in hockey 🏑🏒. Keep up the fantastic work, Year 6! 👏👏

Year 4 have been fantastic Geographers this week! 🗺️ They have been locating countries of Europe using four-figure grid references and working collaboratively together 🤝

At the end of last term, these avid readers 📚 joined Mrs Wright in the LRC for 🍰 and ☕️. We enjoyed talking about our favourite books and also read "Snapper" together, after the book was donated to us by Waitrose at Bagshot. 📖✨

Year 5 had an amazing end of term treat. 🎉 They sang carols around the campfire 🔥, roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate ☕, and enjoyed delicious chocolate biscuits. 🍫 We are so proud of how hard they have all worked this term! 🌟 Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas! 🎄🌟

Year 3 have had lots of fun last week in Art experimenting, planning, and making dragon eyes out of clay. 🎨🐉 We used different techniques to create the effects we wanted, like rolling, scoring, and joining.

Our Community Crew spent a lovely afternoon with Frimley Green Pre-school 🎨🎄 doing Christmas crafts recently. Thank you to the preschool for being so welcoming. 💖🏡

This half term, in DT, year 6 have researched, ✏️ designed, and 🛠️ made landmarks using a range of materials - the end products show great 🤝 collaboration and 💡 imagination! 🌟
