Year 5 had an amazing end of term treat. 🎉 They sang carols around the campfire 🔥, roasted marshmallows, drank hot chocolate ☕, and enjoyed delicious chocolate biscuits. 🍫 We are so proud of how hard they have all worked this term! 🌟 Wishing everyone a safe and happy Christmas! 🎄🌟
Year 3 have had lots of fun last week in Art experimenting, planning, and making dragon eyes out of clay. 🎨🐉 We used different techniques to create the effects we wanted, like rolling, scoring, and joining.
Our Community Crew spent a lovely afternoon with Frimley Green Pre-school 🎨🎄 doing Christmas crafts recently. Thank you to the preschool for being so welcoming. 💖🏡
This half term, in DT, year 6 have researched, ✏️ designed, and 🛠️ made landmarks using a range of materials - the end products show great 🤝 collaboration and 💡 imagination! 🌟
Well done to each of these ⭐️ stars ⭐️ who have impressed their teachers all half term! 🌟 They enjoyed squash 🥤 and biscuits 🍪 in the library 📚 with Mrs. Wright this afternoon. 👏
🎶 Frimley Choir were delighted to be invited to sing some Christmas carols at Mytchett Canal Centre. 🌟 Many residents from Mytchett Heath came to watch them perform, and it was lovely to meet them all. 🎄🎤
Year 4 had their last Brain Buddies 🧠 session recently. They created their own poster choosing the skills they felt were most helpful to them. They finished off their session with a game of bingo which reminded everyone of all the skills they have learned😁
Year 5 have loved writing their non-chronological reports on the plight of the Orangutan 🦧 and have embraced their learning about deforestation 🌳🌲 and the use of palm oil 🌴, which is destroying their homes 🏡. After writing their reports, they uploaded and published their work using the Numbers App.

🌱🎨 Year 5 have been cultivating their growth mindsets in various ways this week! From embracing art 🎨 to tackling assessments, they've been exploring strategies to perform at their best. 🚀 In Science, they followed step-by-step instructions on their Showbie account to craft vibrant lifecycle posters using the Numbers app. 📊✨ 🌟
On Friday 8th December, three Year 5 children will be raising money for the The Royal Marsden . They will be selling Christmas chocolate, sweet bags and bookmarks after the Bauble Run.
Y6 have produced some stunning writing based on the short film, 'The Piano'. 📝 They have carried out a beak experiment linked to their work on adaptation, explored various artist's representations of the Trinity in RE 🎨, and in PE, they have been enjoying their rugby lessons! 🏉
Every Frimley pupil has decorated a star with a special message for patients at Frimley Park Hospital. 🎁 Frimley Health Charity will be using the stars as gift tags as part of their Golden Christmas Appeal. 🌟
Last week, the children in Year 4 were designing and making Greek Vases from clay. 🏺 They sculpted their vase before using joining techniques to add a base and handle. Once dry, they then designed and painted a Greek pattern or scene on the outside. 🎨 The finished vases were fantastic! 👏
Year 3 have had another action-packed week 🎨 finishing their dragon eye paintings in Art, ⚽ practicing their football skills in PE, 🍲 making soup using the vegetables from our Science garden in Enrichment, and ✨ making stars in jars for our next writing unit. Plus, getting ready for our Christmas performance! 🎄🎉

📚 Last week year 5 had a busy week! We've been writing an independent piece based on "Kensuke’s Kingdom," our class reader this half term 📝📖. We had lots of fun doing a Just Dance session in our pyjamas for BBC Children in Need 🎉🕺.
🌍Last week year 3 had another action-packed week! We went on a virtual trip to St Peter’s Church in Geography 🏰✈️ and sketched out the route 🗺️. In PSHE, we've been writing notes to let people know why we think they are amazing 🌟. In RE, we pondered the significance of the Cross for Christians . Plus, many other exciting activities kept us busy! 📚🎉
Year 4 had a brilliant Brain Buddies 🧠 session last week. They looked at what games and strategies they can put in place to help them overcome worries, such as mind games and using their 5 senses. They enjoyed playing the alphabet game and spelling their names backwards!

The children in Year 5 have been thinking about those who fought in WW1. After reading the story ‘Where the Poppies Now Grow’, they wrote some beautiful and heartfelt poems of Remembrance.
Year 3 have had another busy week. We had Dom in to do some football coaching with us on passing, we have been drawing sketch maps of our school in Geography and been looking at different art pieces in RE about Jesus’ life. Plus we are busy practicing for our Christmas play.
Year 6 have loved their rugby 🏉 and fitness 🤸♂️ lessons in PE whilst in geography, they have researched the physical and human features of Brazil 🇧🇷 as well as some of the major cities in Australia 🇦🇺
