So the back to school lurgy hit our house, in a record 4 days!!! And it took out both kids 😩

Would you treat a temperature like this with paracetamol?

Personally a temperature like this I allow the body to do what it's naturally doing.. fighting infection. I just make sure they get plenty of fluids.

I only give medication when:
The temperature exceeds 38 and only if they have any discomfort or pain or show signs of being poorly.

The first day the smallest woke with a temp of 39.9 but I could tell just from looking at her she wasn't good. In this case I gave Paracetamol, as a temp this high increases the risk of febrile convulsions.

Thankfully both girls are back to full fitness and back to school today.

This is my Fridge!!

I originally designed this for our Mini Medics, for in the event of an emergency my children would easily be able to read off the address.

But after watching last weeks episode of BBC Ambulance, I realised it is useful for everyone at home.

There was a grandma who was looking after her granddaughter at her daughters house, and she had no idea of the address!

End of the Summer Holidays

Peach first aid was founded based on the fact I wanted to see more of my children, particularly during the school holidays.

My business has given me and my family the freedom we desired. However I did not dream that my children would be as involved as they are.

My eldest daughter(too cool for photos now) does my shredding, helps file paperwork and has assisted in mini medics.

My youngest has made props, videos, assisted in my Mini Medics courses promoted my courses to friends.

My husband has ran courses with me, promoted my business, been my biggest support and puts up with my moaning 😬 I need to have a staff meeting 🤣

So every time you make a booking you are really helping this family grow, and for that I will be forever grateful.

I just watched episode 2 which is showing the Ambulance service covering Bury and Oldham.

Wow, it just hit home how important the work I do is. So many people ringing for help and not knowing what to do in an emergency.

With response times being longer than they would like, having first aid skills could be vital.
In some cases it might even avoid needing an ambulance altogether.

There was a 4 month old baby boy who his parents thought was not breathing 😥 I'm not sure I took a breath myself watching it until I knew he was OK.

So everyone comparing their holiday stories whist the Farm Shop and Tearoom have been closed this last week
Sarah and Harriet whilst at church in Mellor last Sunday realised a gentleman sat in front of her was unwell-long story short -after performing CPR for what seemed ages ( but probably wasn’t)till ambulance crew arrive -then phone call from same gentleman 2 days later to say THANKYOU puts our days out in the bin !!!!-you have definitely earned your ANGEL STATUS SARAH LEES !!!👏👏👏👏👏

Wow this book by was mind blowing!! I loved it but was equally horrified by it!! It really has made me start questioning mine and my children's food choices. More needs to be done, however take matters into your own hands and educate yourself!
Now on to my next book, any recommendations? I love a non fiction book?

Today's Delivery for toolbox of props🤣

Today I was back at Toddlers Childrens Nursery Limited. Here they take First Aid seriously not just for their staff but it's also on their curriculum for the children too!

Ways Peach First Aid helps at this nursery:

Q:Can you deliver during half term?
A:Yes, we can deliver whenever, including evenings and weekends. We know courses 9-5 Monday to Friday do not suit every business.

Q:Can you do the training at our site?
A: Absolutely! This allows the staff to help out during lunch breaks to ensure the nursery runs safely and efficiently. The course can be adapted around your timings as long as we meet the minimum contact hours.

Q:We don't have many who need training, do you need a minimum number
A: we ask where possible minimum of 3 but we do also appreciate due to child ratios etc. this is not always possible. We will work with you to ensure you get the training in away that suits you and your team.
