Back after the Christmas break happy new year to everyone!

The children have been making crowns together this week and then decorating them with colouring pens or stickers they then used them to play kings and queens and made a castle from boxes and sheets.

We also had lots play with moulding sand with a sheet on the floor to give more room for them.

We have also had quiet time also having stories and looking at the pictures.

My last working day will be tomorrow and then I am off until the 3rd of January. Please feel free to message me over the Christmas period if you need any information on my setting I am happy to still answer any questions.

Big thankyou to the families of the children I have had the pleasure of looking after I have had some wonderful little ones this year. Thankyou for your support and kind words.

I wish them and their families a very happy Christmas. πŸŽ„

We have had two days of baking this time we made some little cakes with a simple recipe so the children could help. We decorated them with chocolate drops and sprinkles and icing. πŸ˜‹

Yesterday we made some biscuits and decorated them with coloured icing and sprinkles to make them look nice and festive. The children enjoyed every minute. My mindees got to take their finished biscuits home. πŸŽ„

Daddy and Mummy quotes

We will be having lots of stories about Christmas and these will include the nativity story in the run up to Christmas and we will take a little trip to the Christmas tree farm to see the reign deer’s and other animalsπŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸ».

Please Can I remind parents to put hat and gloves into the children’s bags as it’s getting really cold now on the school runs and standing in the playground it is freezing 🧀🧣.

We have done lots of drawing this week! Two of the children have learnt to draw a face and different shapes and we have been learning about colours. We have had outside play with the swings and hand bars and lots of ball games.

These are some of the things we get up to at the setting. Outside play, walks, visits to farms, playdough, drawing and many more.

Update: information on topics for activities over the next few months.

Seeing as we have entered autumn season I thought it would be nice and good for the children's learning to incorporate this into some of the activities.

Over the next few months we will be doing some activities that reflect the seasons.
So watch out in the children's bags to see what they have made! πŸ‚πŸ

As we will be going out on walks please can the children have warm coats and wellies please so they don't ruin their shoes if they get muddy or wet.

In October we will be incorporating autumn with Halloween into activities.

November and December we will be doing winter, fireworks and of course Christmas.

Thank you 😊

Making water patterns outside on the wall with different brushes getting messy and wet! Children love doing this.

I still have a space available from September if your looking for childcare please get in contact with me. I am available to answer any questions also.

BBC News

This is really interesting.

Do we unintentionally gender-stereotype children when it comes to choosing toys for them? Watch what happens in our experiment.

Lovely day out at the Green dragon eco farm on Monday. We saw lots of animals and we played in the sandpit and park. And had a nice picnic outside on the benches. We even saw a baby goat cuddling its mother. πŸπŸ·πŸ”

Lego duplo and cars and garage this morning!

One of my mindees enjoying doing the puzzle children of the world. Learning about the people's different outfits and where in the world they are from. Good fun on a rainy Tuesday β˜”οΈ

Puzzles, pretend food shopping, and lots more things the children have been doing this week!

Few pictures from today's garden play. Nice tent with tunnel that was kindly given to us for free by a lady today kids loved it! The children playing nicely together with the mini football.

For the parents that have daily diaries for their children who attend. Parents who don't have a diary verbal communication is fine if we can spare 10 mins at pick up and I can record it after communicated.

If any changes in your child has occurred whilst I have been away so for example:

Eating habits changed
Sleep patterns
Development of fears sometimes children develop fears as they reach certain age milestones this is good for me to know so we can avoid enhancing this fear and work with the children on this.
Or anything you have noticed at home you would like me to work on with your child I am happy to do so.

Anything that your child has changed at home that you feel is relevant for them being in my care please could you record in their daily diary so I have a record to look at. This helps me to record it on their personal files for reference.

Many Thanks

First week back into the swing of things after my family holiday.

The children have settled really well back into their routines at the setting. We have had lots of playing outside this week with ball play, water play. We have also had chill time to where we sit and read stories too. Good first week back so proud of my little mindees. πŸ‘

Nice when the weather is sunny and we can get outside and play in the water πŸ’¦

Picnic in the garden for lunch today 🍞🍎🍌🍽

Play dough play this morning. The children used lots of different things to create textures within the play dough even hands and fingers.

Water play in the garden today πŸ’¦πŸ’¦

We have had a lovely morning playing in the garden. We have had water play, mega blocks building, playing on the swings. Little too hot for the children today but we all had a nice morning. We will have a chill time in the afternoon with some stories and drawing.

For info as my son has been asking questions about recent events.

They just love the plastic food lots of different shapes and textures and learning what each bit of food is great for the younger children. My little mindee enjoyed pretending to feed the plastic dinosaur some corn on the cob. 😊

Even my own boys like getting cuddles from my mindees πŸ˜€

Just a little reminder as the weather gets warmer can all children that come to the setting have sun hats and have had sun cream applied with sun cream available in their bags for the day. Even if not very warm but is sunny and they are outside they are still prone to getting burnt. Thank you 😊

One of my lovely little mindees playing with the farm and animals. She was putting the sheep to bed and we were making the sounds of the animals.
