I had the great pleasure of watching the Little Shop of Horrors, TWICE. I would just like to say well done to everyone involved, it was absolutely fantastic, great entertainment.
We hope today is fun and will undoubtedly be emotional, but thank each and everyone of our daughters teachers for their support and encouragement. Here is hoping the government let you the teachers that know their abilities and allow you the opportunity assess them as only you can.
Once again thank you all. Stay safe.
Academy Status, Secondary School, in Winslow Buckinghamshire. Opened September 2013.
Operating as usual

The Friends of STFS would like to thank everyone for their support so far this year – we’ve just raised £365 from providing the refreshments at the school’s Christmas concert and the Snow Ball discos for years 7, 8 and 9.
So far this year we have been able to contribute to the cost of cameras for the new GCSE Photography course, and we’re looking forward to being able to support the school with more fundraising events in 2023.
If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you: please drop us a line at [email protected]

Students, families and staff have spent the past few weeks donating items (or filling whole boxes!) for the Winslow Rotary’s shoebox appeal. Together we have filled 89 boxes! These 89 boxes will be taken to either Moldova or Romania and given to those in need. Thank you to everyone that donated money or items to this appeal. Your kindness means that many people will receive a gift this winter. Often, these families are living in remote rural areas and do not have access to basic sanitation products, let alone toys and new clothes. It was very touching to look inside some of these boxes and see the thought and love that has gone into each one. Warm hats and gloves, colouring books and pencils, essential hygiene products. What a heart-warming way to end 2022; knowing that we are making a difference. Thank you.

We are very pleased to announce the launch of a convenient new way to share information with you about your child’s school life – the My Child At School online portal and app.
Please check your inboxes (and junk/spam folders) for your account activation details, and visit our website for more information and instructions.

We've had a busy week down the allotment, a visit from the fantastic Chiltern Rangers on Tuesday where students from the allotment and environment club learned how to plant hedgerows. We also had help from RAF Holton digging the holes! In the afternoon our dedicated cadets helped too. The area was cleared and tidied up, a hedgerow planted all round the perimeter and we put rocks round the pond, as well as our first pond plant! Thanks Eden!! This Thursday was the last group of 2022 and students were very excited to see the pond frozen over!
Huge thanks goes to Chiltern Rangers, RAF Holton, the cadets and the Thiebaut family for the donation of the pond rocks. Not to mention of course our amazing allotment and environment club members!!

Tickets are available from Reception, ParentPay or at the concert. Good luck! 🤞

As part of Remembrance Sunday events, students from Sir Thomas Fremantle School were invited to perform at the annual Winslow Veteran’s lunch, held at the Bell Hotel, Winlsow. Hosted by the Winslow Freemasons, Student gave a concert of old favourites including Over the Rainbow, We’ll Meet Again, Land of Hope and Glory and ended with a singsong with the veterans. Well done to all involved!

Lest we forget.

Thank you to the families that have kindly donated items/put together a Christmas shoebox gift. We have a target of 100 boxes to fill and we currently have 6 completed ones. Luckily there is still time to donate!
Attached is a picture of a completed box intended for a girl aged 3-4. This is a beautiful example and we know that the lucky little girl that gets to open this will be so happy.
The children/adults that receive your gifts live in Moldova or Romania. Many are living in orphanages or care homes. Many of them will have never celebrated a birthday or a Christmas before. For some, this may be the first gift they have ever received. Please, if you can, collect a free shoebox from reception or drop items off with us.
A list of suggested items can be found here: https://www.rotaryshoebox.org/ .
Anything you can give will be gratefully received. May we continue to support our local rotary and show love and kindness to those who need it most.

What a day down the allotment! With the help of two volunteers from Network Rail and the Allotment Club members we managed to get our wildlife pond in!
A fantastic team effort and we look forward to seeing it develop over the next weeks and months.
Students came to help during Tutor Time and P5 and were amazing!

On the 4th October 2015, we sadly lost Jeremy Tombs - an inspirational student who made such an impression on us all at STFS with his humour and happiness.
We planted an apple tree as a permanent reminder of this wonderful young man, and this year, his tree has produced its first fruit.
Jeremy, you will always be a part of this school and always in our hearts. xx

Many, many thanks to Kimberley's Fruit & Veg stall at Winslow Weekly Market for the first of our delicious fortnightly donations. 🙏

We are saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, after a lifetime of devoted service.
She epitomised leadership, humility and dedication. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family.
We marked the occasion with a whole school assembly and a moment of reflection. Thank you to the families who joined us.

Today the community at Sir Thomas Fremantle School will be marking the day with an assembly to reflect on the Queen’s death. Families of STFS are welcome to join us in the Sports Hall at 9:30 am. It is likely to be standing room only and parking will be limited.
