I had the great pleasure of watching the Little Shop of Horrors, TWICE. I would just like to say well done to everyone involved, it was absolutely fantastic, great entertainment.
The Y10/Y11 Geographers are on their way home! Our ETA is currently 4.30pm. We will ask students to keep their drivers informed!
Is school closed on Monday 31st January?
There was an email or post about adult courses being held at STFS but I can’t find them and I want to sign up to Spanish!
Good afternoon, just wondering if there is a FB page for the New Year 7s starting in September? As we are new to the school it could be really helpful if there was. Grateful for any advise?
No one is joining our TEAMS parents evening tonight?? Is something wrong with the school Broadband?
If you have ordered an urgent copy of Much Ado About Nothing, they are waiting for your children on Reception :)
Can anyone confirm the term dates please? The website says back to school is on Weds 2nd, but my daughter (going into year 10) has just said her friends think it's Monday 7th? Thank you!
Can you confirm if GCSE results are still being released this Thursday as I've heard they are now being delayed until next week.
Does anyone know if STFS are planning on doing (actual or virtual) open events for prospective students? My daughter will be moving up to secondary school next September. Thank you.
We've been producing Scrub Bags and donating PPE to the & local health services, alongside our friends at Bucks UTC, Stowe School, The Buckingham School, Sir Thomas Fremantle School, Holmer Green School, Westbury School Royal Grammar School High Wycombe, Wycombe High School, Sir William Ramsey School & more! via The Bucks Herald
Would like to take this format to thank everyone at STFS for the amazing way this awful situation we all find ourselves in has been handled. As the parents of a year 11 we, like everyone else was devastated at the early closure, and cancellation of exams which our young people have been working so hard for over the years. We know once Government have decided how this will be resolved, that it will be dealt with accordingly. However the was this situation has been handled at STFS has been fantastic, we knew it was a school that cared, with brilliant teachers and a fabulous Head. The letter all year 11 pupils/parents received yesterday was truly heartfelt - thank you.

We hope today is fun and will undoubtedly be emotional, but thank each and everyone of our daughters teachers for their support and encouragement. Here is hoping the government let you the teachers that know their abilities and allow you the opportunity assess them as only you can.

Once again thank you all. Stay safe.

Operating as usual

The Friends of STFS would like to thank everyone for their support so far this year – we’ve just raised £365 from providing the refreshments at the school’s Christmas concert and the Snow Ball discos for years 7, 8 and 9.
So far this year we have been able to contribute to the cost of cameras for the new GCSE Photography course, and we’re looking forward to being able to support the school with more fundraising events in 2023.
If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you: please drop us a line at [email protected]

Students, families and staff have spent the past few weeks donating items (or filling whole boxes!) for the Winslow Rotary’s shoebox appeal. Together we have filled 89 boxes! These 89 boxes will be taken to either Moldova or Romania and given to those in need. Thank you to everyone that donated money or items to this appeal. Your kindness means that many people will receive a gift this winter. Often, these families are living in remote rural areas and do not have access to basic sanitation products, let alone toys and new clothes. It was very touching to look inside some of these boxes and see the thought and love that has gone into each one. Warm hats and gloves, colouring books and pencils, essential hygiene products. What a heart-warming way to end 2022; knowing that we are making a difference. Thank you.

We are very pleased to announce the launch of a convenient new way to share information with you about your child’s school life – the My Child At School online portal and app.
Please check your inboxes (and junk/spam folders) for your account activation details, and visit our website for more information and instructions.

School is CLOSED today due to the snow.

We've had a busy week down the allotment, a visit from the fantastic Chiltern Rangers on Tuesday where students from the allotment and environment club learned how to plant hedgerows. We also had help from RAF Holton digging the holes! In the afternoon our dedicated cadets helped too. The area was cleared and tidied up, a hedgerow planted all round the perimeter and we put rocks round the pond, as well as our first pond plant! Thanks Eden!! This Thursday was the last group of 2022 and students were very excited to see the pond frozen over!

Huge thanks goes to Chiltern Rangers, RAF Holton, the cadets and the Thiebaut family for the donation of the pond rocks. Not to mention of course our amazing allotment and environment club members!!

Tickets are available from Reception, ParentPay or at the concert. Good luck! 🤞

Thank you to the families that have kindly donated items/put together a Christmas shoebox gift. We have a target of 100 boxes to fill and we currently have 6 completed ones. Luckily there is still time to donate!
Attached is a picture of a completed box intended for a girl aged 3-4. This is a beautiful example and we know that the lucky little girl that gets to open this will be so happy.
The children/adults that receive your gifts live in Moldova or Romania. Many are living in orphanages or care homes. Many of them will have never celebrated a birthday or a Christmas before. For some, this may be the first gift they have ever received. Please, if you can, collect a free shoebox from reception or drop items off with us.
A list of suggested items can be found here: .
Anything you can give will be gratefully received. May we continue to support our local rotary and show love and kindness to those who need it most.

THE SCHOOL HAS SPOKEN: Zoe and Dan are our Senior Students for 2022-23! They are bursting with enthusiasm and ideas (stay tuned to hear more!) and we know they'll do an amazing job! Plus a special mention goes to Maisie, Meg C and Meg H, who will form part of the Senior Student Leadership Team under Zoe and Dan, 5 more reasons (as if we needed any!) for us to be REALLY proud of our amazing year 13's!

What a day down the allotment! With the help of two volunteers from Network Rail and the Allotment Club members we managed to get our wildlife pond in!
A fantastic team effort and we look forward to seeing it develop over the next weeks and months.
Students came to help during Tutor Time and P5 and were amazing!
Such a team effort. The volunteers also re-felted the shed for us and even gave it a tidy!
Well done everyone!!

On the 4th October 2015, we sadly lost Jeremy Tombs - an inspirational student who made such an impression on us all at STFS with his humour and happiness.
We planted an apple tree as a permanent reminder of this wonderful young man, and this year, his tree has produced its first fruit.
Jeremy, you will always be a part of this school and always in our hearts. xx

Thanks to a generous donation of topsoil from Brook Farm Aggregates, Mrs Ell and Ms Bartley (with the help of Mrs Ell's mum) have been able to start planting the sensory garden for the Wellbeing Room. Plants have been chosen for their aromatic, tactile and aesthetic properties to add another dimension to the space offered by the Wellbeing Room.

We are so excited to announce the completion of our Wellbeing Room. Huge thanks to the many people and organisations who have supported the project.
It will be used throughout the day, for the following:

Social Times - open during break and lunch as a quiet alternative to the café.
Some interventions will take place here.
Bucks Mental Health Support Team will be running group sessions for students identified by their Learning Leaders.

Many, many thanks to Kimberley's Fruit & Veg stall at Winslow Weekly Market for the first of our delicious fortnightly donations. 🙏

We are saddened to hear of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, after a lifetime of devoted service.
She epitomised leadership, humility and dedication. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family.
We marked the occasion with a whole school assembly and a moment of reflection. Thank you to the families who joined us.

Today the community at Sir Thomas Fremantle School will be marking the day with an assembly to reflect on the Queen’s death. Families of STFS are welcome to join us in the Sports Hall at 9:30 am. It is likely to be standing room only and parking will be limited.
