Merry Christmas from all our pupils at Little Voices Buckingham, Aylesbury and Haddenham.
Hope you are all having a lovely festive time with your family and friends!!
❤️❤️
I’d just like to say a huge thank you to all my pupils and parents for a great term.
Thank you parents for all your amazing support and for trusting us with your children. They are all so special and we love to celebrate their differences and watch each of them grow in their individual ways.
It is so important to us to nurture and take care of our pupils, especially at the moment. After lockdown, we know there has been a real impact on confidence, wellbeing and mental health. Drama and singing are fantastic ways to focus on the development of these aspects and great ways to help the social side as well.
We have loved showing you a little of what they have been working on this term, I hope you enjoyed watching too.
We wish you all a very merry Christmas and a lovely new year. We hope you get to take some time out and spend it with your family and friends.
We are so looking forward to seeing what 2023 will have in store and watching what your children achieve.
Much love to all my Little Voices in Buckingham, Aylesbury and Haddenham ❤️⭐️🎈🎄🎉
I have the most amazing mum and dad. I feel really privileged to feel this way as I am fully aware not everyone can say that.
Sometimes it’s important to take a little time to reflect and appreciate.
My mum (and my dad) are the very reason I am where I am and do what I do today.
Mum was a teacher, not just any teacher but an incredible teacher. She LOVED teaching but more than loving imparting her knowledge of theatre and the English language, she LOVED her pupils. She spent time with them, understood them and their challenges. She nurtured them and challenged them in a supportive way and loved watching them achieve their best.
She was a lover of theatre and performing, from Panto Dames to Shakespeare and anything in between. She took us to the theatre from a young age and got us involved in drama clubs, instilling in us the importance of teamwork and commitment.
She was a fab mother. Her family came first and she was as proud of us and we of her.
ALL these values are at the core of why I decided to become involved with Little Voices.
⭐️ Family
⭐️ Nurture
⭐️ Love of watching people grow and develop
⭐️ Love of performance
⭐️ Supporting people to become the best they can be
We lost mum 10 years ago today so she hasn’t seen what I do now but I feel a strong part of her is still on my journey with me and I think she would fully appreciate and support me (even though I always said I would never be a teacher!🤣)
I felt this was the best way I could dedicate something in her memory so thank you for reading.
❤️❤️
Just got home from the first of our showcases this week in Haddenham.
So, so proud of every pupil that got up there and performed. I know there were nerves but you sat with them and carried on.
I am gutted that I was here there and everywhere so didn’t get any photos.
Have a lovely Christmas you fab lot and can’t wait to see you all in the new year.
Congratulations everyone ❤️🎉🎄🎈
Ok……there we go.
75 individually wrapped presents for every one of my individual pupils!
They are all unique and have something special to give so I wanted to give something back.
Can’t wait for them to show a little of what they’ve been working on over the next week and a bit!
HO HO HO ❤️🎄🎉
I’ve just bought my tree!!!!! Anyone else got theirs up yet?
Mine’s not decorated yet, is yours? Feel free to post a picture, we’d love to see them all! 🎄🎄
It’s the run up to Christmas and we are having great fun in our final rehearsals before we show parents what we’ve been working on this half term!
Two more weeks to go!! 🎄🎉🎈
A great opportunity to get involved with lots of other young people in the area. This is based in Tring and rehearses normally on Sunday afternoons.
🤣🤣
These guys have insisted on writing their ideas for their Christmas scene, I wonder what we have in store…….
Some pics from our Halloween lessons. From design to using the paints themselves. Learning to build from the basic colours up or creating prosthetic scars wounds and, in some cases, noses!
Lots of fun had!! 👻🎃
Happy Halloween
Can’t wait to share some photos of our Halloween fun later.
Looking forward to seeing everyone later ON Halloween itself. Maybe you could face paint before you go trick or treating…………
Soooooooo excited!!
Have just sat down to watch a one off production of ‘The Nativity’
It’s a charity production with all proceeds going to Florence Nightingale.
It’s a sold out theatre here at the Waterside in Aylesbury and I am so proud as I have 4 pupils from 3 of my centres in it!!! ❤️❤️❤️
What I love about small groups is the ability to really spend time teaching about so many different things. These guys are fab. Look at them helping each other and play with new techniques!!
Lots more photos of our fun face painting sessions to come……..
All prepped and ready for our fun Halloween face painting sessions this week! What a fun way to finish the half term and a fun way to start the next half term as our first lessons will be on Halloween itself!! Can’t wait! 👻🎃
We were having some fun with a Hairspray script last night in our lessons and suddenly this happens! 🤣❤️
These guys represent a much larger group who received a distinction for their work!! School of Rock! So good…….so proud ❤️
Few more for you ❤️🥳
Time for some amazing celebrations. We have known for a while but with everything going on recently we feel it’s now time to fully celebrate!
ALL our pupils received either a merit or a distinction for their most recent LAMDA exams. Over all three centres!! That is nearly 70 pupils!! What an amazing thing to share with everyone.
Exams from our youngest taking introductory exams, right up to our oldest taking Grade 6!
So proud of each and every one and such a great achievement for all their personal CV’s
Well done all of you. So grateful you are all part of our Little Voices family ❤️❤️🎉🥳
We are so excited to see you all again this week!
Can’t wait to hear all about your summer holidays.
Also very excited to get working on our Christmas show. We haven’t done one for a couple of years now because of Covid but this year we’ve been planning!!
See you tomorrow, Wednesday and Thursday ❤️
A remarkable person.
Yes, a Queen but also a mother, grandmother, great grandmother. Head of a family. 💔
Just a peek into my world beyond little voices. Directing a production of Avenue Q this week with young people 16+ in Tring. Had so much fun and they’ve just had a cracking opening night. I am always proud of every young person I work with, whether at Little Voices or with this group. I just LOVE watching any young person grow and develop ❤️❤️
We have opened some new classes in both our Buckingham and Aylesbury centres. ⭐️ Have a child that loves creating characters, showing you their plays or singing at/with you? We’d love to meet them at Little Voices. ⭐️ Apply for a free trial today at www.littlevoices.org.uk/locations/buckingham
As many of you know, I direct a youth theatre group in Tring.
We have put on some really fun productions over the years and this year is no different.
Since April we have been working on our first show since before covid. Avenue Q is a challenging musical. It challenges the audience with its outspoken themes and it challenges the actor in terms of mastering puppetry.
If you have a young person (I’d say 14/15 up due to the language and adult themes explored) or you fancy a good laugh and an evening out next week. Please come and support these amazing young actors.
On at the David Evans Court Theatre in Tring. Next week Tuesday 6th - Sat 10th. Tuesday night is student night so tickets a bit cheaper!!
Hope to see you there! 🎭🎤

Buckingham I'm Jo, your Little Voices Principal, and I am delighted to be bringing our fun and inspirational singing and drama lessons to the children and young people of Buckingham and Aylesbury. Children make friends for life at Little Voices, and I am looking forward to watching every child who attends ...
This is such a lovely read.
It’s what we are all about. If you have a child especially at secondary school, this interview with a pupil will help you understand what Little Voices aims to achieve beyond, necessarily, training for the stage…..

How singing & drama can help you get into dental school - Little Voices Why Little Voices isn’t just for those who want a career in the performing arts
We had the absolute privilege of being able to work with the children In our partner school George Grenville Academy on their school production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.
They were so fab to work with and were supported by an incredible team of teachers. We were lucky enough to be able to use the theatre at Stowe which just made it that bit more special after two years of COVID.
We LOVE being able to work with George Grenville and with every child within the school on both music and drama. One of our key principles is to encourage a child to ‘be the best they can be’ and to be able to play a little part in that is sooooooo special.
Well done EVERYONE in key stage 2 but especially year 6! You left with a bang!! ❤️🎬🎭🎤🌈⭐️⭐️⭐️
What a lovely way to finish our year. I asked our groups what they would like to do on their last session and their choice was to get the make up out and develop their cut making skills!!
I love all these pupils In every one of our classes.
I can’t wait to hear all about your summers everyone.
Stay safe, enjoy your family time and when we come back we’ll work on something to show people at the end of the term!! Just can’t wait
Happy summer holidays!
🥳❤️🎬🎤🎭
Some lovely calming activities in this heat and so fabulous to be able to have our last lesson of the term!
Wishing all our Buckingham pupils a glorious summer. Can’t wait to hear all your stories in September ☀️❤️
Tomorrow’s lessons will be on. We will make sure the hall is aired and we will provide ice lollies.
We will do calming and low energy activities and games so there will be no running around.
If you can make sure your child has a hat and a full water bottle that would be fab.
If at any point this changes and we feel the space is not safe to use in the heat, I will personally contact you. Otherwise, if you feel you are happy for your child to be with us tomorrow, we look forward to seeing you 🥳☀️🎬🎤🎭
Well done to you all today! From our miniest of minis to our oldest pupils taking grade 4’s and 5’s.
You were supportive, positive and the examiner said to me what a lovely group of pupils you all were. You had fun with your pieces and although there were some nerves you faced them!!
We’re so proud of all of you ❤️❤️❤️
Next round of LAMDA exams today and we’re ready!!
I know you are all going to be brilliant. You have worked so hard and this is the time you get to show what you have achieved.
So go out there, listen to each other, speak loudly and clearly, react to each other and most importantly HAVE FUN!! ❤️🎬🎭🎤
So proud if ALL of our first lot of pupils taking their exams today. They have worked so hard to get to this point but went in there and gave it EVERYTHING they had. You can’t ask more than that.
Well done everyone. I hope you are proud of yourselves too ❤️🎉🥳🎭🎤
