This year we were invited to be the benefitting charity at Christmas at Thrift Wood for 2022.

It has been incredible! The atmosphere at all the events have been amazing, and we received wonderful support for our work.

The Christmas Fair, Carol Concert, Christmas Tree Raffle, and refreshments stall helped us to raise vital funds whilst Thrift Wood customers were buying their Christmas Trees

Throughout December we raised just over £1,350 which will directly fund our services for children and their families .

We extend a very special thank you to the owner of Thrift Wood, Margaret and Cerus Jarvis , for their generosity and for being great fun to work with.

As this is unlikely to change , we have made the decision to cancel tonight's concert.

Thank you to Anita, her staff and clients at Body Matters Beauty Therapy for raising £155 for us on their launch day and for selling our Christmas cards. These brilliantly raised funds will support the costs of a nursery session for one child.

We want to thank everyone who got muddy, wet and windswept at the Swanbourne Endeavour in October and to Tom Finchett and the Swanbourne Endeavour team for nominating us as one of their benefiting charities once again.

We had a fantastic day and are thankful to those who endured what looked like a very gruelling course.

This week, Tom presented us with an amazing £2,537.00 cheque which will enable us to continue to provide specialist education and therapy to children with autism and other communication difficulties and support to their families. THANK YOU!!

We are thrilled to have been chosen as Christmas at Thrift Wood’s Charity of the Year!

Christmas at Thrift Wood is a family run business with a 75 acre woodland on the edge of Milton Keynes, founded by David and Margaret Jarvis.

Kick off the Christmas period and join us for the festivities at the Christmas Fair on Saturday 19th November from 10am to 3pm.

Thank you to the The Clare Foundation for funding the purchase of our new branded Gazebo and flags. This funding means we now have a weather proof branded gazebo for all our community events, and the flags ensure everyone can see us and know where we are !

A big thank you ! 🙏 to WPA Healthcare for helping to improve our outside play area at the nursery.

Pictured here with our CEO Sarah, and our OT Alex, Simon Evans, Healthcare Partner of WPA Healthcare recently visited to see the difference their grant has made.

Their funding has allowed us to install various changeable swings and hammocks that offer loads of benefits to the under 5’s with autism who attend our nursery. They’re great for:
- Improving strength, balance and motor-planning skills
- developing body awareness and coordination
- vestibular and tactile stimuli that calms and supports emotional regulation
- opportunities for social interaction and communication.
The children, and the team at our nursery are so very grateful to WPA as it’s made a huge difference to our playspace.
