☀️ It finally feels like summer might be on its way…​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​👍 So, here’s a reminder of what to dress your little one in at night on warmer summer nights.

💙 Please remember this is just a guide and the best way to check whether your baby is too hot is to touch their chest or the back of their neck (their hands and feet will naturally feel cooler) and if they feel hot or clammy remove a layer.

🌡 According to our friends at the optimum room temperature for a baby is 16-20 degrees C.

September/ October we have been learning about the autumn season, and halloween, we used our imagination with loose parts materials and play dough.

Phillip came to me today,
and said it was time to go.
I looked at him and smiled,
as i whispered that "I know"

I then turned and looked behind me,
and seen I was asleep.
All my Family were around me,
and I could hear them weep.

I gently touched each shoulder,
with Phillip by my side.
Then I turned away and walked,
with My Angel guide.

Phillip held my hand,
as he lead the way,
to a world where King's and Queens,
are Monarch's every day.

I was given a crown to wear
or a Halo known by some.
The difference is up here,
they are worn by everyone.

I felt a sense of peace,
my reign had seen its end.
70 years I had served my Country,
as the peoples friend.

Thank you for the years,
for all your time and love.
Now I am one of two again,
in our Palace up above.

There's so much on at WomenZone this month including lots of sessions for families with children aged 0-3 in the Play Gym, from stay and plays, art and crafts sessions, including Baby Art Attack, wellbeing sessions for mums and woodwork sessions for dads.

Who doesn’t love the book dear zoo?!
Using the animals with the book is a fantastic builder of communication and language!

Painting with cars 🚙
A huge interest in cars and a big interest in messy play can only mean one thing, paint with the cars! The activity went amazing they were so engrossed in the marks made as they moved the cars around!

Baking!! With a twist….
Recently the children’s role play have been based around ‘birthdays’ and serving cakes, then several children asked if we have any cupcakes for them so we decided to let them bring their role play a little more realistic!
We provided all ingredients for buns and let them take control.
The results? AMAZING
They were so engrossed in making cupcakes to celebrate birthdays, cracked the eggs so nicely into the bun trays adding flour and coco powder, using utensils to mix and create, no body lost interest through the whole day! What a success!!

Teamwork car wash!!
The group were very interested in using the water spray and used it on the car, the teachers expanded this by offering a bowl of soapy water to give the cars a better wash! When the water run out the children loved the responsibility of refilling the bowl😁 ☀️ 🚗

Sensory area for the baby room theme ‘under the sea’ last week😍 lights, fabrics, bubbles, water, music everything to stimulate a child’s senses 🐟 🎶 🌊

Amazing family portrait drawn here! To begin the young girl was not confident in her drawing skills so will a presentation from the teacher she was more than happy to go for it! She was SO proud of her picture so we made sure it was framed on our art wall for everyone to see☺️

Amazing ‘bus’ made by one of the children! Isn’t it amazing watching their imaginations grow!! And this wasn’t made for herself but for everyone to use! Fantastic socialising skills☺️
