Both Nurseries:

What a truly magical experience the children, staff and residents at Claremont house had today! The children have been practicing Christmas carols for the last month and today they got to go sing along with the residents and staff. It was such a wonderful experience for all and certainly a memory we will treasure. We will certainly be visiting more often! Well done to the nursery children and we hope Claremont residents, staff and their families have a lovely Christmas!

On Tuesday a small group of children from both settings went down to Heckmondwike Library to join in with their Storytime/rhyme time.

The children had an amazing morning and even checked out some Library books to share with the children back at nursery.

We have come such a long way after the struggles of Covid and the affect it has had on everyone, we can finally see that all our hard work and dedication has been appreciated by OFSTED. It was such a lovely day were we could show Ofsted all that we do! The inspector gave so much positive feedback and said ‘Children are exceptionally happy and thrive in this incredibly welcoming, inviting and inclusive nursery. They have extremely secure attachments with the dedicated and enthusiastic staff.’

Welcome to Hamond House Day Nursery.

We Thank you for your interest and taking time out to find out more about our nursery. We provide high quality childcare for children from birth to five years.

We have two branches, Please read below for further information with regards to both nurseries.

Battye Street
Battye street is rated OUTSTANDING in August 2016.
We have two rooms Under Twos and Over Twos. Both rooms are based on ground floor for easy access into the building. Our Under Two’s unit is separated into three areas, the sleep room, main room and the messy area.

Leeds Road is rated GOOD in September 2018.
We have two rooms for Under Twos and Over Twos. The Under Two’s is based on the first floor with a dividing wall separating the messy area from the quieter area. Our Over Two’s is based on the ground floor and is divided into three rooms, the messy area, the quieter area and the construction area.
