It’s ten years ago today that Amy Winehouse passed away of alcohol poisoning at the tragically young age of 27.
Were you a fan of hers? I was. I absolutely loved her music. 🎵 🎶
I’m also absolutely anti-drugs. Drug and alcohol addiction ruins far too many lives – many, as in Amy’s case, far too young. There’s so much wasted potential. Imagine what Amy may have gone on to achieve, the further artistic legacy she might have left, had she lived and been able to conquer her addictions.
After her death, I attended a fundraiser for the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which provides recovery pathways for other young people struggling with addiction.
By way of a donation to the charity’s work, I successfully bid on a few Amy-related auction items, including a Grammy plaque presented to her when sales of an album featuring her music had reached 500,000, and this bronze bust by the British artist Linda Joyce from Icons & legends, which I think captures Winehouse in her prime.

Starting here a few day’s ago, progressing nicely. I’ll be sculpting live again Sunday at Bobby’s. Win £300 of private tuition with me, £5 entry all proceeds go to the Shelley Trust to pay for this portrait to be turned into a bronze. This will be on display in Boscombe.

The UK digital identity and attributes trust framework

The UK Gov wants to officially implement a digital identity framework upon its citizenry, calling it the "trust framework"... and once it is in place, they intend to make it law!

How will this affect us:
In a brief but big picture view of this move..., this will lead to a complete loss of our privacy of "everything" and open us up widely to gov abuse and control and the likes of a Chinese Social Credit system. Freedoms can and will be instantly removed.
What can we do about it:
Fight! Flood your MPs, Protest, bang pots and pans like in Denmark, like they did for 9 days straight in the tens of thousands in front of their Parliament!
Go further... Storm their offices and take these leeches out by their ears and strip them bare! Arrest them under the rights of Citizens Arrest for fraud and genocide. Start now as a first move by sending feedback to their direct survey on that GOV UK webpage... Here is how:
I just sent a response within the gov website link ( below ) as there is then a survey feedback link WITHIN that first GOV page.
Please everyone send a response with EDUCATED and APPROPRIATE views and reasoning AGAINST the implementation of digital identities systems in the UK.... and submit your responses.
EXAMPLE reasons are loss of privacy and freedoms, exposure to gov abuse and misuse, and you can research more reasons you are comfortable writing about. Make it count.

Fascinating Faces
The more time goes by the more I realize how I have always been fascinated by faces. Unfortunately, in this era we live in today, not many people commision me to sculpt a portrait. So I decided to sculpt the people and faces that im interested in. I decided to sculpt Icons and Legends because thier photos are readily available for me.
I am between studios at the moment, but as soon as I get settled in my new studio I am going to start a series of sculpted portraits of influential women, starting with Mary Shelley.
