Counting down to another Summer Sewing Camp.
With flights being cancelled and kids needing to be engaged in activities this summer, why not enrol your child or children in a life skill activity. Kids learn to sew from day one using sewing machines. There’s always so much fun and laughter and your kids leave satisfied with all the projects they get to work on 😍.
Looking forward to seeing you.

My first 90s themed party with my girl She invited me to join her school mates to celebrate 25 years since we finished secondary school.

I know it’s been a while… I have been off social media cause I needed to find the balance between my role at the Uni and my Sewing Studio. But I have definitely missed being here ❤️

26/01/2022

So good to be back teaching at Uni since Covid 2020! 🙏🏾❤️🥰

Can you believe that these kids made their poncho??? This project actually included hand sewing. I hate hand stitching so guess who taught the class when they needed to sew the buttons on? Nanny Pat ❤️. The students have used and . There was so much chatting and laughing but we got it completed before the end of the term. So proud of my students, I can’t tell you enough

I realised I had not seen my friend on Instagram for a while and thought to send a message to her. Only for her to explain to me that she lost her previous Instagram page and had to start a new one. She had so many followers and she’s been an inspiration to me. She doesn’t know this but she’s the reason I started posting stuff on my page. I’ll appreciate it if you can follow her and inspire her like she did me. Thank you ❤️

It’s .nwosu 16th birthday 🎉 🎂 🥳
Please wish her happy birthday! This young lady brings fun to the classes. She helps me teach and tidy up! I’m really grateful to you Bianca. Hope your day is as beautiful as your heart 💜

I promised you I’ll show you what I’m working on. These beautiful fabrics are from . The bottom fabric is faux leather with floral embroidery and top is tulle fabric with floral embroidery. Still work in progress.
Anyone who sews will know what i mean by work in progress: it might take three days, it might take three years 🤣😂😅😂🤣

Ps: the outfits are for me not for clients so it doesn’t really matter how long it takes🤣😅😅

15/09/2021

I’m working on something I might be wearing 😁😀. The fabric is right there on the table if you are able to zoom in. Hopefully, I’ll be able to complete it this week, if my work schedule permits.
Hope your day starts as beautiful as mine, if not better ❤️.

Lots of love.

Yesterday, the gentlemen, Bob and Ian(father and son) from came from Reading to pick up some of my sewing machines and Overlocker to get them serviced. They also delivered a brother innovis 15 machine that was ordered by a parent. I cannot recommend them enough. They are so kind and very honest. Plus they always bring flowers each time they visit. This time, they brought loads of goodies I’ll be sharing out soon ❤️🥰😘

This is what .nwosu and I get up to when we finish teaching. You can see that we are SEW busy 😄😁😃 . Summer sewing camp is coming to an end this week. Three amazing weeks with this young lady who is just 15. Very consistent and hardworking. Also a quick learner. Would you like to enrol in summer camp, if yes, we might book another week in, soon.

End of Week Two of our Summer Sewing Camp. Just one of the projects the students had to do in the intermediate group. 5 cushion covers per student made as a set. Got this picture in the last slide from my students mum. Cushions already on the bed. I’m a very proud teacher. Couldn’t have done it well without .nwosu
Only one space left in week 3!

It’s all about the beginners class! I love teaching all stages but there is something special about my beginners sewing classes. Everyone comes in with no sewing experience and they think it’s not possible to sew straight lines talk less of starting off projects. The students “oh my goodness” expression when they complete the first tasks is my “this is worth it” moment. I always feel emotional every single time the students see what they’re able to achieve.
I’m starting an Adults beginners Sewing Class tonight and I’m so excited.

17/06/2021

The teddies are in town! The students have started completing their teddy bears. What I love most about this project is the fact that some of the students decided to gift them to friends, families and teachers. This has been one exciting project. Look out for more teddies 😍🥳😘☺️

SUMMER CLASSES LOADING!!! 🧵 🪡

I’m so emotional right now.
Exactly three years ago I got the keys to my studio. I was so nervous because I wasn’t sure what will happen in six months. I had so much fear I, backed out so many times. All I wanted to do was teach.
But God had (has)greater plans for me. He, as always, sent the right people to me at the right time. I never planned on doing alterations, curtains and upholstery but I met people who were happy to work with me.
I’m so emotional because three years ago, I started teaching kids who have now matured over the years. Believe it or not, I’ve taught at least 100 people(both children and adults)since 2018. I also became a visiting lecturer at University of Hertfordshire, one year into the business.
I’m so emotional because I have been surrounded by good people who have been genuinely kind to me. People who can see what I can’t see.
There were times I struggled and times I had extra. Loads of happy moments and 3% sad moments, (that’s how good it’s been).
One of the many moments I love is when people walk past my studio, stop and try to say hello from outside or even come in. Some will actually spend time with me, hence our coffee mornings.
Am I making profits? Not yet but I love the three years I’ve been there and I love what I do.
Thank you Nanny Pat for your continuous support. You’ve always been there for me and I’m grateful. Thank you Lidia Pascu because you were the foundation for the alterations. Thank you Ahmad for your hardwork. Thank you Bianca for volunteering on Saturdays. Thank you Grandma Oduneye and Christine Redmond for sitting in when I need to go out.
Thank you to my family and friends. You are the reason I’m emotional because you made me believe I could do it.
Thank you to every single customer, student, parents, and well wisher(including those who stop by).
Thank you God Almighty for your grace, wisdom, love, strength and good health. I pray that the business and me will be a source of joy to people.
🥂to many more years
