Three new clients who have just signed up with Catdriving are Sid,Jasmine and Jazz. All three are now confident to safely move off and stop. Change gears, first gear up to second and third gear Turning left giving way if required to other traffic. All on the first hour lesson. Did you do this on your first lesson or sit for ages in the car at the side of the road?

Be carefull if your emerging from a minor road onto a major road The latest insurance injury scam is to flash you then ram you!! So be carefull out there!!

Thinking of driving to the coast this weekend? If so check the following before you set off
1. check Tyre pressure on all four tyres, Don't forget the spare while checking the pressures look at the tread for nails etc
2. Radiator coolant (only check when the car is cold)
3.Oil, check and top up if required
4. windscreen washer bottle top up
5.Ensure your mobile is fully charged
6.Pop in some fresh water in case you break down

Summer is here at last !!
When Driving in bright sun light and emerging from junctions remember that cyclists and motorcyclists can be hidden in shadows, so take a little more time and look a little longer before pulling out
Go carefull out there

Driving in snow or ice
If you find yourself driving in snow or on icy or snow covered roads, adapt your driving to these conditions:
Reduce your speed. The chances of skidding are much greater and your stopping distance will increase massively.
Only travel at a speed at which you can stop within the distance you can see to be clear. Speed limits are the maximum in ideal conditions; in difficult conditions, they can often be too fast.
Avoid harsh braking and acceleration, or sharp steering.
Always reduce your speed smoothly and in plenty of time on slippery surfaces.
In harsh conditions use your gears to assist you in slowing down
If you are travelling on the main road what out for car emerging from side roads The driver may be in Summer mode and has left his/her braking too late and may slide into your path
Go carefull out there !
Treat everyone else on the road as idiots because most of them are !!you will then stay safe

Snow driving words of advice
When driving along a fairly clear but icy main road watch out for the idiots emerging from the ungritted side roads, for some reason they forget they are travelling on ice and brake at the last minute(as they have all summer) and wonder why they slide into the main road.

Catdriving first time pass rate averages out at 80% (taken over the last year.) The facts speak for themselves folks!!
