🐾 Shelby! Work In Progress 🐾
When I first met Shelby, he had some serious resource guarding issues.
In fact, he had already bitten two members of his family during resource guarding incidents.
Fast forward to today, and the progress he's making is fantastic.
In this video, Shelby has a sock on his bed. something he would previously have guarded very intensely. You'll notice that we're able to move our hands around him and near the item without the immediate reactions we once saw. This is part of a carefully structured desensitisation and behaviour modification programme that has been built up over time.
At one point, Shelby does give a brief growl. That's important.
Behaviour change isn't always a straight line, and growling is communication. The difference is that the growl lasted only a couple of seconds before he relaxed again. He was then praised and rewarded for making a better choice.
As the session continues, Shelby repeatedly drops and gives up the sock. We even throw it away and, rather than racing to retrieve it and guard it as he once would have done, he waits calmly for it to be returned.
By the end of the video, we're able to place a hand underneath him and remove the sock without any concerns.
💚 This didn't happen overnight.
💚 This is the result of a structured programme carried out over several sessions.
💚 Every dog is different, and every resource guarding case should be assessed individually.
Please don't attempt to replicate exercises like this yourself without professional guidance. What is appropriate for one dog may not be appropriate or safe for another.
It's also worth noting that Shelby has no history of swallowing or consuming socks, which is an important consideration when designing a training plan and assessing risk.
Well done, Shelby.
You've come a long way, and we're all incredibly proud of you. 👏🐾

Hi Everyone,
I’m Amanda and I want to firstly thank you for visiting our page and wish you all a warm welcome. I fell in love with dogs at a very early age, having been raised around them. The bond between human and our four legged friends has always fascinated me, and learning how they think and behave has been a lifelong hobby. Dogs truly are a best friend and loyal companion. 🐾 Owners of Dobermanns, German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Boxers & Mastiffs...
I'd Love To Connect 🐾
Over the last few months, I've found myself becoming increasingly involved with Dobermanns and other powerful breeds.
The three beautiful Dobermanns pictured below are currently under our wing and have reminded me just how intelligent, loyal and sensitive these dogs can be.
I'd love to connect with more owners of:
🐾 Dobermanns
🐾 German Shepherds
🐾 Rottweilers
🐾 Boxers
🐾 Mastiffs
Whether you're an owner, breeder, trainer, walker, rescue volunteer, or simply someone who loves these incredible breeds.
My aim is to build a network of knowledgeable owners and supporters who share a passion for helping these dogs thrive.
The more people we know within these breed communities, the more dogs we can help in the future ❤️
If you own one of these breeds, I'd love to see a photo of them in the comments 👇
And if you know somebody who does, please tag them below.

Little Brando update ❤️
A few weeks ago this beautiful boy came very close to losing his life.
Since then, he has been settling in at the training Ranch and we properly understand him.
There’s actually a really lovely dog underneath all the overwhelm.
He’s been making some really nice progress and we’re taking everything slowly, carefully and properly.
It’s still a long journey ahead with rehabilitation, training, care, equipment, vet costs and ongoing support for him.
A few people have asked if there’s a way they can support Brando and follow his journey, so we’ve created a GoFundMe for him ❤️
Heres the link: https://gofund.me/be43247dd
Even a share would be great.
And even donating a little honestly means a lot ❤️

These three beautiful souls are currently under our wing ❤️
All three have come from difficult situations and are now going through structured rehabilitation, decompression, assessment, and support.
Seeing them slowly start to relax, trust, play, and feel safe again has honestly been incredibly special.
Sometimes dogs don’t need giving up on…
They need understanding, guidance, structure, patience, and the right environment.
We feel incredibly lucky to be helping them ❤️
Myself and Nathanial at Nathaniel K9 Solutions are passionate about helping dogs like this that deserve a little more time.
Over the coming weeks, we’ll be sharing more of their journeys, progress, personalities, and rehabilitation.
And eventually, when the time is right, we will also be looking for the right forever homes for them ❤️
If anybody may be interested in following their journeys, or potentially offering one of these dogs a loving, committed home in the future.
Feel free to message us privately.
Amanda ❤️

Brando… Day 3
Since the last update, I went to see him with Nathan at the rehabilitation training ranch Nathaniel K9 Solutions
Set in the most peaceful surroundings right next to Kingsbury Water Park in the Warickshire
The perfect space for him to decompress, reset, and just be a dog.
And what we saw today…
Off lead.
Social with people.
Comfortable around other dogs.
And around children.
Coming over for affection.
Relaxed.
Engaged.
Present.
Not the dog that people were ready to give up on.
He knows that me and Nathan understand him.
An unspoken language. An unspoken trust.
And when a dog feels understood, everything changes.
This is what’s possible with the right environment, the right handling, and the right mindset.
Thank you to all the people that have helped him on his journey so far 🙏
Brando’s (AKA Marlon) first morning at the Training Ranch!
Nathan has Brando and Mishka out together… at Nathaniel K9 Solutions
Zero aggression at all.
He sees Miska…
runs straight past her.
A little tense…
but nothing to worry about.
Scanning a little…
completely understandable.
But here’s the important part 👇
He’s not panicking.
He’s not shutting down.
He’s not escalating.
He is desensitising 👌
This is what progress looks like.
Not perfect… but powerful.
And this is just day one.
Follow his journey…
because this boy has huge potential ❤️

And just like that… the next chapter begins ❤️
And I want to introduce you to an amazing guy…
Nathaniel from K9 Solutions, Sutton Coldfield Training.
Here he is ❤️
He stepped in, just like I did
Because when you see a dog like Brando for who he really is...
you know he shouldn’t be put down.
This guy is extraordinary. A beautiful soul.
He rehabilitates dogs from his own ranch…
And a beautiful space, lots of land… peaceful and tranquil.
And Brando felt it straight away.
By the very next morning…
he had him out with another Doberman…
living… and loving life.
Let that sink in.
The moment I met him, I knew
He was right for this boy.
What a turnaround.
Because at the end of the day…
It’s not about business.
It’s about the dogs…
And the incredible people you meet along the way ❤️
This was the moment… ❤️
I asked him to look ahead…
to see what’s in front of him.
And he did.
As if he knew things were finally changing !
