Gramacri Limited is the first education provider that combines Language Teaching with Environmental Education. We offer qualified teachers & instructors to cover primary school teachers’ PPA Time for MFL and Physical Education.

ROLE: Teacher of Mandarin
HOURS: Tuesdays - Fridays 08:30 - 15:15
PAY: £100 - £120 per day depends on experience
LOCATION: Birmingham B3

APPLICANT: Both qualified and unqualified teachers considered. Please note that we will only accept applicants that are already resident in the UK.

*Individuals with fluency in Mandarin or degree level with no teaching qualifications will be considered if they have experience in teaching.

DATES OF CONTRACT: February 2023 - July 2023
PLANNING: all lesson plans and resources as well as videos, games, assessments and progress trackers are provided.
COMMUNICATION: Through our online system, you can submit feedback to both your school and our office after every lesson, saving your time and enabling an excellent work-life balance. You will also have an Education Advisor who will be available to be your main point of contact for any questions between 8am-5pm.

Our MFL programmes are focused around progression and a different topic is taught each half term.

They are designed to cover a broad range of skills including writing, reading, speaking and listening. We aim to develop not only language skills but also learners’ green skills by teaching them the importance of environment preservation and how to play their part in halting nature’s decline and climate change. Students will learn how to use these skills across other curriculum subjects.

All our programmes are in line with the National Curriculum 2014 and the Sustainability and Climate Change Policy 2022. In addition they are progressive, with 7 different levels. There is a Level with 6 modules for EYFS, 2 levels with 12 modules for KS1 and 4 levels for KS2. We recommend each year start at level 1 for their key stage, however we are happy to change this if your children have previous experience or are more able.

Fly to Spain, France, Italy, Germany or China with us. At the end of each academic year at Gramacri we run a Best Work Competition among all students across Key Stage 2 at our Primary Schools. The winner will get 3 tickets (1 child and 2 adults) to fly to the country where the language learnt is spoken. This is a great way to reward the most hard-working students, as well as engaging even more all our Young Learners.

The fortunate winner will be fully immersed in the Culture and Language of the country where the Language studied during the academic year is spoken.
