Our Story
Bicester Dance Academy was founded over 25 years ago by the principal Sarah Jane Tree.
The idea was to create a professional dancing school in Bicester for all levels. From tiny tots and baby classes, through to older children, teenagers and adults.
Sarah herself has worked as a choreographer and teacher for over 30 years and her wealth of experience has been driven by the guiding principle of dance for all.
Dancing is excellent for developing a child's natural sense of: poise, sensory co-ordination, grace, artistry, self discipline, team work and muscle memory.
Pupils are trained for ISTD examinations in all subjects as well as preparation for competitions, shows and displays, where appropriate. At BDA the pupils work through the Imperial examination system. The Imperial society is one of the oldest & most highly regarded training methods which is used by all of the major dance colleges, a large proportion of West End dancers will have trained under this method.
