Sarah-Jayne Cassells from Autism NI visited the college on Thursday 23rd May to celebrate a fantastic total of £1552.11 raised by BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Music second year students this year through their Major Music Project unit. The students ran several fundraising performances and bake sales in the Millfield campus, culminating in a final show on 14th May in the Palm House. Music tutor Claire Hueston said, “I am so proud of these fabulous students who have dedicated so much of their final year working towards such a great cause. So many young people have a diagnosis of ASD and it is really important to raise awareness among the student population, and to do our bit to help to break down barriers for those living with autism.”
