As we reach the end of the year we have been reviewing what we have been up to and I have to say we're all happy with the growth we have seen.

19 Risk Assessments completed (General and fire), up 10 on last year
1704 People trained, up 204 on last year
135 Mental Health courses delivered, up 100 on last year
6 New large clients taken on, up 4 on last year
12,412 Mile travelled, up 6,000+ on last year

We have also seen #David Gwilliams achieve Graduate member with IOSH after completing a Level 6 Diploma in Health & Safety around the full time work.

Latest statistics from the HSE
Published online today (16 December 2021) the latest statistics on work-related health and safety in Great Britain, including the following key annual figures (2020/21):

1.7 million working people suffering from work-related ill health

93,000 workers suffering from COVID-19 which they believe may have been due to coronavirus exposure at work

645,000 workers suffering from a work-related illness caused or made worse by the effect of the pandemic

2,369 mesothelioma deaths due to past asbestos exposures (2019)

142 workers killed at work

441,000 injuries occurred at work according to the Labour Force Survey

51,211 injuries to employees reported under RIDDOR

Been a nice Saturday drive today with a little trip to Crawley to get the information we need to complete a fire risk assessment for a customer that has just moved to a new building.

Today we reviewed the figures from last year, although as we expected there was a decrease in numbers we’re still happy with what we have achieved.
Total number of individuals trained 1501.

722 of these were First Aid for Mental Health, the remained were a mix of First Aid, Fire Marshall & Health & Safety in Construction.

We have also taken on 6 new customers for a full compliment of SHE development and consultation.

On a final note should any of you feel overwhelmed during the lockdown feel free to get in contact, anyone of us will be happy to have a chat or a virtual coffee.

Here we go again, my weekly trip to Manchester. At least I know the area now.

It’s been a while since the last post, we have been very busy, delivering courses across the country including Mental Health, Fire Marshall, First Aid and advising customers on compliance and completing Fire Risk Assessments.
We are delivering both COVID secure face-to-face and online courses, from Aylesbury to Burnley

For all businesses that are unsure of the regulations around certificates expiring during the last 6 months, here is the recent guidelines. The date to qualify was previously 30th September for any expired certificate

HSE Update

FAW or EFAW certificates that expired after 16 March 2020 can remain valid until 31 October 2020 or 6 months from date of expiry, whichever is later. All requalification training for these certificates should be completed by 31 March 2021.
