So a while ago I was tasked with demonstrating the use of google forms for a school inset.
Here's what I came up with and I used it with my Yr10 photography students. It's an exercise in rating portraits as if the students were judging a photographic competition.
The students scored all the photos (there are 8) out of 10 and we made a google sheet out of the form responses.
If you watch the video, you can see what the context was. It was an interesting as my 14/15 year old students didn't recognise the photos and just judged them on their 'merits'. Try it for yourself and see which of the photos you like the best, and more importantly, why. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgQyEE19h1U

Using a wide aperture creates a shallow depth of field, emphasising the fox while the cat is still recognisable in background. The cat's paws suggest a confident approach, while the fox appears nervous as if being aware that he's being stalked.
I've been working tonight with a textile specialist who has been tasked with teaching photography next year. I could cry for her. Where we had common ground was the shared belief in craft (something sadly missing in a lot of UK schools). It reminded me of this which I wrote for an online magazine. https://bap2blog.wordpress.com/2015/07/31/my-photopedagogy/
My Photopedagogy My Photopedagogy. When I was small, I used to watch my grandmother make apple pies. She made the best apple pies in the world. Yes, I know others have made that claim, but it’s simply not true. My …
