Rainbows and Rattles

It is with great regret that we have to announce the closure of Rainbows & Rattles toddler group.

Ashton and I have loved every moment from the initial setting up of this group to the day to day running and planning of R+R but due to family commitments and neither one of us having pre-school children come September we can no longer commit to making this group all it can be.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time getting to know new people and watching children play, grow and learn together.

If you feel you that you could commit to the time and effort it takes to organise, plan and run this group please get in touch with a member of staff at the community center who can point you in the right direction as to who to talk to.

We hope those who have been to the group enjoyed their time, it is a shame to see it close.

Rainbows & Rattles is not running over the summer holidays, will re start in September.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Due to another commitment the playgroup will not be running on the 3rd of July, so we will hope to see you all at the soft play session on the 6th July :).

0915 playgroup is on and the weather is meant to be lovely 🌞🌞 we will be having a little pool out for the kids to play in so bring costumes/spare clothes lol.

As the weather is meant to be so nice all activities will mainly be outside but will have toys in the hall as well.

We are going to have sand and out with gold hunts and pirate colouring in to do. We will also if the weather is good be making a volcano so be sure to come along to check it out :)

So even though it's half term Rainbows and Rattles is still running, with lots of fun toys and activities for the kids we will also be getting the outside toys out if the sun shows its face :)

We will be doing Easter themed activities so why not pop down Mondays at 0915-1200.

All ready with lots of things to play with even got some bits for older siblings too the outside areas is also open and waiting to be played with :).

So even though it's half term Rainbows and Rattles is still running, with lots of fun toys and activities for the kids we also have some new outside toys so fingers crossed for some sun and we can get them out.

For the next 2 weeks we will be doing a lot of Easter themed activities, including making bonnets and chocolate nests wooohooooo so why not pop down Mondays at 0915-1200.

Don't forget Rainbows and Rattles tomorrow in the soft play from 1300 this is the last week it is on.

As of next month the Thursday session will be the first of every month.

Mother's day craft activities ready and waiting to be made :)

Playgroup tomorrow we will be making mothers day goodies we have keyrings to make and cards to decorate :).

Also as myself and Emma are taking part in the charity event at the TCC playgroup tomorrow you don't have to pay but we do kindly ask that they money you would of normally paid you put in one of our charity tins or buy some merchandise.

Don't forget Rainbows and Rattles this afternoon in the soft play, also due to the numbers of this session dropping we are now changing our soft play days to just once a month. So soft play playgroup will now be the first Thursday of every month starting April.

It's a busy morning at R+R this morning, come on down and join in the fun.

Evening everyone, giving you the heads up for Monday's messy play........ We will be playing with "unicorn water" sounds exciting doesn't it hehe, its ok its not too messy its basically water with glitter and different sizes of marshmallows :D super safe for the kids but also super fun and a great sensory activity too :D hope to see you all there.

Don't forget playgroup on Monday 0915-1200, we have lots of exciting toys to play with and we will be having some fun with cornflakes and crazy soap so why not come along for some fun and a coffee. 😊

Morning all sorry for super late update been a busy weekend. Today's activity will be mega painting, hope to see you all there and hopefully it won't be too messy 😅.

OK so Christmas and New Year have been and gone so why not get out the house and pop along to playgroup tomorrow from 0915 it runs till 1200 and we have lots of fun things for the children to do.

As its our first Monday back we won't go too mad with the messy/creative play so tomorrow we will be doing some nice drawing and colouring will even get some print outs of some fun Disney things for the kids to colour :)

🎅🎁CHRISTMAS PARTY🎁🎅

Rainbows and Rattles on Monday 19th as its our last one before the Christmas break we are going to be having a little party.

We have some new toys that we need testing by our best toy testers 😊 so they will be able to have a play 0915-1030.

1030-1200 PARTY TIME 🎉🎊 we will be having music, dancing and of course some food just your usual kids party food, sandwiches, cakes, fruit and crisps etc. We also have a little gift for our awesome Rainbows and Rattles kiddies :).

Don't forget Rainbows and Rattles tomorrow starts at 0915 with lots of toys and fun to be had, this week's creative play will be painting and/or glitter of Christmas trees and snowman pictures :).

Don't forget new routine for playgroup tomorrow,

Free play and snack followed by craft.

The craft activity will be Christmas stencil drawing and colouring :).

After this we will then be having a story and singing time.

Would just like to take the time to give a massive THANK YOU to all of you who come to playgroup today, I hope that the kids had fun playing but most of all I hope all you mums had a nice time too was lovely to see so many of you there. Super excited for Mondays group :D hope to see you there.

Ok, so it being the most magical time of the year why don't we try our best to make sure that everyone goes into the new year with atleast one new friend.

The way the playgroup is run has changed so now on a Thursday it is more of a relaxed atmosphere so why not bring along someone new or if you have just arrived why not pop down the to TCC meet all of us and have a coffee, this way if you then want to come along to the Monday session it won't be so daunting as you will recognise/know people already :).

I think this is a great way to get the community together and also a great opportunity to let the children make some friends in the process. :)

We hope you have the chance to come along to our playgroup, its a great chance to meet new people and let the kids interact and have fun.

We run on a Monday 0930-1130hrs.

This is held in the hall/outside area (weather depending) we have lots of toys ready to be played with and try to offer a wide variety of mess, sensory and baking activities for the children.

We also run on the 1st Thursday of every month 1300-1500hrs.

This is held in the soft play area and is a great chance for new people to come along and make some friends, also for everyone else to have a coffee, catch up and have a good chat. :)

This is all based out of the Trinity Centre at RAF Halton all year round.
Each session is £1 per family with the first session free, tea and coffee included with water and a snack for the children.

At Rainbows and Rattles we ask for you to keep your child/children wrapped up warm at home if they are feeling ill. We can sometimes have a large group and this is solely to prevent other children becoming un-well.

We hope you enjoy your time with us and we Look forward to see you all soon.

We are currently considering changing our Monday times to fit in with the school run, so our session will start at 0915 rather that 1000. Is this something people would be interested in?
