The exam results have arrived - everybody passed so well done to all of our students πŸ’ƒπŸ©°πŸŽ‰!!! If you would like to know your individual results then please PM me & I will let you know! xx

*Bedgrove Parents*
Can everyone please avoid parking in the church car park across the road.
Thank you.

Please see Carol in the next 2 weeks to confirm if children/students are available for exams on the 10th & 11th of July.
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate specific day/time requests as before due to Covid protocols that we have to adhere to.

Lessons will be running as normal today.

Lessons resume as of today (12/04) - we can't wait to see lots of you this week - it's been too long!!!! xx

We will be back as of Monday the 12th of April!! Please check your email for details - can't wait to see you all!! xx

Classes back very soon! Date to be confirmed!

Sad times today - for the first time in over 50 years there will be no show in 2021.
We should be at the Hall now - lighting & sound being set up, backdrop being erected, preparing for the dress/technical rehearsal today & two shows tomorrow. It is the most exhausting but most exhilarating weekend of the year for me & I will miss it massively.
Roll on September 2021 when πŸ™ we can start planning & choreographing for the show in 2022.
Hope you're all still dancing πŸ’ƒπŸ©° & hopefully we'll be back to lessons very soon!!!
We miss you all!!
Melissa, Sue & Carol ###

Dear all,
Hopefully you all received the email yesterday to say that we are having to suspend the start of the Spring Term due to the Tier 4 restrictions. It certainly isn't how we wanted to kick off 2021 but unfortunately there is no other option or alternative.
The confirmed exam session in March (13th/14th) is still a possibility so please encourage your children to practise - all the Grades are still available via the Groups section.
Please note that if you request to join a Group & we don't recognise the name or it's a Group that doesn't apply to you then you won't be approved - sorry, but we do have to be strict on this.
Let's keep our fingers crossed that we can resume lessons ASAP & hopefully we'll see you all very soon........ Happy New Year!!!!!
Melissa, Sue & Carol x

We will still be operating at Bedgrove today & tomorrow before the Xmas break so we hope to see lots of you (excluding the Adult Ballet unfortunatelyπŸ’”)!!
As things stand, Tier 3 restrictions still allows organised indoor activities for Under-18's so we will start the Spring term as planned on Monday the 4th of January 2021, however, depending on what Tier we are in come the New Year will determine whether the Adult Tap & Ballet classes may resume.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support & understanding this year under very testing & frustrating circumstances - hopefully 2021 will be a much better year!!
We hope you all have a very Merry ChristmasπŸŽ„ & Happy New YearπŸŽ‰!!
Love Melissa, Sue & Carol ###

Hurray!! We can re-open starting on Friday the 4th of December in Bedgrove.
All the previous protocols will remain in place & some of the Adult classes may be subject to change slightly.
Please keep an eye out for a confirmation email from Sue in the next couple of days.
See you all very soon x πŸ’ƒπŸ©°πŸŽ‰

Due to the announcement last night regards the new Covid restrictions, as from Thursday the 5th of November 2020 we are forced to close the Dancing School yet again.

We intend to operate as normal on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday of this week in Wendover & Winslow and will hopefully resume on Friday the 4th of December in Bedgrove pending any further instruction.

Any fees already paid up until the end of this term will carry over to the Spring term of 2021.

All the syllabus work can be found via the private groups on our page of which Melissa will only approve you if she recognises your name and the pertinent subject you have requested to join i.e the class grade and subject you or your child are in.

If you have any queries then please don't hesitate to contact me.

Melissa, Carol and I are incredibly frustrated by having to do this again as we have tried so hard to comply with all the regulations/precautions and were optimistic enough to be planning ahead for 2021.

Hopefully we will see as many of you as possible this week and again in 4 weeks time.

Sue, Melissa & Carol.

Carol is on jury service for the next 2 weeks so if you need to pay any fees then please bring it in a named envelope & give it to Sue or me & we will do our best to cater for any dancewear needs!! Thanks, Melissa.

And we're back!!!! Whoop whoop!!! 🩰😍

Hi everyone,

Sue will be contacting everyone who has responded to her email in the next couple of days to confirm that the normal timetable in Wendover & Bedgrove will resume as of Friday the 4th of September.

We have had to adapt the Winslow timetable slightly but all those that this affects will be notified.

We cannot stress enough that if you haven't received an email or text message from Sue OR haven't responded then you must notify us straightaway ([email protected]) if you are intending to return or not as we cannot guarantee that there will be class spaces available - there are still quite a few that we haven't heard from. This also applies to any students who have been attending the summer classes.

Hopefully we'll see most of you in September!!!
Melissa x

Classes on Monday & Wednesday this week are in the morning, starting at 9.30am - last week of the temporary summer timetable.

Everyone who has supplied us with an email address should have received the following email from Sue yesterday. It is incredibly important that we hear from everyone ASAP please so we can start compiling class sizes for September.

Dear parents and guardians,

We are fully intending to be operational, as near normal as we possibly can, in September, all depending on present and future government guidelines.

We shall be starting;
Bedgrove as from Friday,4th September
Wendover as from Monday,7th September
Winslow as from Tuesday,8th September

I am very happy to hold classes for the under-5's but I cannot, nor would I want to, guarantee non-contact with this age group.

It is difficult to predict exactly what will have to happen but class numbers will probably be affected.

Full priority will be offered to all children presently on our register before we accept any new pupils.

It is, therefore, imperative that you email [email protected] to advise me as to whether your child/children will be returning to their class/es or not.
I will need to know, either way, by Friday the 21st of August. This will enable Melissa and myself to manage class lists in line with regulations and to be able to offer any spare places to new children.

Each of the three venues have varying dimensions so class numbers will differ from class to class.

There will be signs for entrance and exit doors, sanitiser stations available and certain protocols for waiting and changing.

Please do not just turn up on the appointed day/time without notifying me first as this could be potentially distressing for all concerned.

I have not got everybody's email. I will try to contact these families via text message but I would be grateful for all to pass on the information within friendship/family groups.

If anyone has any queries and/or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me.

With very best wishes to you all,
Sue, Melissa and Carol.

We've had another successful week of summer classes, there are spaces still available for the remaining 3 weeks if anyone wants some exercise!!!

On another note, Sue will be sending out an important email to everyone regards the hopeful return to our normal timetable in September - it may go into your Junk or Spam so please keep an eye out for it!!!

Well we had our first day back on the temporary timetable this afternoon & it couldn't have gone better!! It was great to see so many faces, we've missed you!!
There are still spaces available for all the classes so if you're interested then please email Sue at [email protected] & hopefully we'll see more of you on Wednesday!! x

The temporary timetable (see below) will start on Monday at Wendover Memorial Hall, if you haven't secured a spot by emailing Sue ([email protected]) then we can't guarantee you a space as some of the classes are almost full. Unfortunately, due to the social distancing we cannot offer a Tots Ballet class at this point. The timetable is as follows:

4.00 - 4.30pm Ballet Preparatory & Primary
4.30 - 5.00pm Tap Preparatory & Primary
5.00 - 5.30pm Theatrecraft Preparatory, Primary & Grade 1
5.30 - 6.00pm Ballet Grade 1 & Grade 2
6.00 - 6.30pm Tap Grade 1 & Grade 2

4.00 - 4.40pm Ballet Grade 3 & Grade 4
4.40 - 5.20pm Tap Grade 3 & Grade 4
5.20 - 6.00pm Theatrecraft Grade 3 & Grade 4
6.00 - 6.40pm Ballet Grade 5, Classical 1 & Adult

10.30 -12.00pm Adult Tap

* Entry to the building will be through the side door into the foyer.
*Carol will be at the door to take lesson payments.
*There is no waiting area inside the building for parents although there will be a small amount of socially distanced chairs for those pupils waiting for their class - please don't arrive too early!!
*All pupils are too arrive dressed for lessons - there is no changing area available.
*Pupils will need all their dancing shoes with them so they can be changed in class between lessons.
*All pupils can be collected from the front entrance once their lesson/s have finished.
*Please don't bring any drinks or snacks, water will be available with disposable plastic cups.
*Santisier will be available throughout the building.

If you have any further queries/questions then please let me or Sue know & we will do our best to answer you. We're pretty sure we have all eventualities covered & hopefully we'll see lots of you next week!!

We have some good news and a positive post........

We will be operating the temporary timetable for 5 weeks, however, the week commencing the 24th of August will have to be morning classes - times to be confirmed.

If you have already contacted Sue to reserve your class space then no action is required but if you haven't done so & wish to be included then please email Sue ([email protected]) as soon as possible as some classes are almost full.

We are aiming to be back to a full timetable across all 3 locations in September (the St Laurence Room in Winslow is closed until then) but I will update everyone later on in the summer to confirm.

Looking forward to seeing as many of you as we can over the next 5 weeks - at last!!!!!!!
Melissa x

The trip to London to see Hello Dolly on Saturday the 15th of August has been cancelled (by the Theatre obviously). Sue Groom will be receiving the refund shortly & will issue cash refunds to everyone once we get back to some sort of normality......... if anyone would prefer their refund before then then please forward me (via a private message) your bank details & Sue will arrange a bank transfer.
One day soon I hope to be the bearer of some good news & we can see you all again!!!! xx

Still waiting........ πŸ˜₯

Hi all,

We've still not had a notification on a safe start date from the IDTA so until such times we do (along with public hall access) we're still no closer to a return date - we are ready to go - July is looking like a possibility 🀞

The trial timetable classes are filling up nicely so if you do want to guarantee a space you do need to email Sue ASAP at [email protected]

All of the Grades are now available through our private Groups - if you wish to join them then please do so & i will approve you.

Sadly many of you will already be aware that Sue's husband, Baz, died at the beginning of June. She would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their messages & support at this difficult time ❀️

Melissa x

We are looking to trial a timetable as soon as the IDTA gives us the go ahead to resume lessons (when this will be we don't know yet). We have marked out the floor to comfortably take a maximum of 15 children/students/adults per lesson & have amalgamated lessons to take place at the Memorial Hall in Wendover - it's the best location for accommodating maximum class numbers & adhering to the social distancing rules we will need to put in place. If and when we can resume we are looking to carry on throughout the summer (July/August). The proposed timetable will be as follows:

4.00 - 4.30pm Ballet Preparatory & Primary

4.30 - 5.00pm Tap Preparatory & Primary

5.00 - 5.30pm Theatrecraft Preparatory, Primary & Grade 1

5.30 - 6.00pm Ballet Grade 1 & Grade 2

6.00 - 6.30pm Tap Grade 1 & Grade 2

4.00 - 4.40pm Ballet Grade 3 & Grade 4

4.40 - 5.20pm Tap Grade 3 & Grade 4

5.20 - 6.00pm Theatrecraft Grade 3 & Grade 4

6.00 - 6.40pm Ballet Grade 5, Classical 1 & Adult

10.30 -12.00pm Adult Tap

For more information and to guarantee a place for your child/children and/or yourselves then please email Sue at [email protected] as numbers will be limited & places will be on a first come first serve basis.

As soon as we hear from the IDTA regards a potential start date we will let you know.

I hope we see lots of you as we miss you all!

Melissa x

P.s the Theatrecraft Grades Prep - Grade 2 are now in a private Group with the Grade 3 - Grade 5 to follow asap.

Hello all,
Hope everyone is well & keeping safe?
We still haven't made a decision on when to return or indeed in what capacity, however, we have been able to download the Grades for you to practise with at home. I have uploaded the Ballet Grades (so far - it's been a labour of love) onto a private group for you to request to join, just click on the 'Group' tab and that will take you to the private groups i have created - request to join & i will approve you but only for the group that is relevant for you or your children i.e if your child is in Grade 1 i won't approve you to join the Grade 3 - Grade 5 group.
Although you can post comments please refrain from doing so as these groups are purely for practising purposes until such times we can resume classes.
Some of the exercises will vary from what Sue & i have taught as some elements of the Grades are made up by us as teachers.
If you have any problems then just let me know & keep a eye out for the Tap & Theatrecraft Grades to be uploaded onto private groups shortly.
Melissa x

Hi everyone,
We just thought we would give you all an update on where we are at present.........
We are hoping the lockdown situation may have eased a little by the beginning of June (positive vibes) so we can start to introduce some sort of reduced timetable of classes at all 3 venues.
At present I am on furlough from the dancing school & therefore unable to teach any online classes & Sue is currently dealing with a family situation/illness which means her priorities lie at home - it's not Covid-19 related - but nevertheless is serious.
We really hope everyone is ok & looking forward to getting back to lessons & will update you as soon we have any news or plans in place.
Stay safe everyone,
Melissa x
