Mission EmployAble are officially recruiting for our Supported Internship programme for young adults with learning disabilities, which will begin in September 2022! 🧡

Our interns will spend a year learning practical workplace skills, on a programme specially devised by the Bucks College Group, leading to industry-recognised qualifications ✅

The programme promises to be fun and tailor-made to suit the individual needs of each intern, who will be supported throughout by Mission EmployAble’s training team 😊

Most of the interns’ on-the-job training will take place in Chorleywood 🌳

Our vision is to give our interns every opportunity to gain the independence and self-confidence from their training that will help them find paid work afterwards 🧡

Applications will be considered from young adults aged 19-25 years with an EHCP who can travel independently to Chorleywood (by bus, train or SEND taxi within Herts, Bucks and beyond), who are available from September 2022 👍

To enquire or apply for this opportunity, please email our Training Manager Cass Langham on [email protected]

This week is mental health awareness week, and this year's theme is loneliness.

Feeling lonely is something that all of us can experience at any point in our lives, which can have negative impacts on our health and wellbeing.

There are lots of simple actions that you can do to help others who may be feeling lonely, including:

● Giving a friend or family member a call or text 📞
● Inviting someone for a walk 👟
● Reaching out to a friend for a cuppa ☕

You might find that reaching out to someone else could help you to feel less lonely too.

Find out how you can help lift someone out of loneliness ⬇️
