As itās we thought weād introduce you to our resident Dexter Cattle, who originated in Ireland! āļø
Now living here at Hogshaw Farm & Wildlife Park, these friendly, hardy, dual-purpose cattle are ideal for conservation grazing. They are well known for their strong maternal instincts, hiding their calves almost from birth if they have cover for them to hide.
Fun fact: The Dexter breed are the smallest native breed of cattle in the British Islesā¦ They are about half the size of traditional Hereford Cattle š®

After School Sessions update!
After recently asking for your thoughts on our After School Sessions, we discovered that many of you would like to purchase a standard after school club ticket with the flexibility to add on a childās hot meal if you wishā¦
With this in mind we have been busy revamping the sessions for you!
You can now visit the farm after school for just Ā£3.50 per child, this includes FREE admission for one adult. And kids Hot Meal Deals can be purchased as an optional extra (meals are currently only available to order upon arrival at the farm)
Enjoy our After School Sessions from 3:00pm to 5:30pm Wednesday to Friday during term time.
Tickets can be purchased on our website.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone to join our team at a time when our site is expanding!
The position has responsibility for running our Farm CafƩ situated in the main entrance building. The successful candidate will be passionate about food and drink and have brilliant customer service.
Experience making coffee to a high standard and cooking are preferred but not absolutely essential.
We are looking for a self-starter with can run the cafƩ, with support from the wider team. The candidate should have an interest in local and home grown produce with a great work ethic and high standards.

We'll go first by sharing some of our amazing animal friends who reside with us here on the farm!
A sustainably run visitor attraction and venue thatās located in beautiful open countryside where thereās plenty of space to explore. Most of the farm is laid out to paddocks for our rare breed farm animals and includes our Animal Barn and Petsā Corner where visitors can meet the animals at close quarters. As well as the farm trail, thereās a nature trail that runs around the outskirts of the farm. Our outdoor play area is ideal for children to let off steam and, for all weather year round play, we have two barns, including soft play.
Thereās freshly made, seasonal food in the Eco Centre restaurant thatās supplied by local producers and from our own walled garden and orchard, where we grow heritage fruit and vegetables. The restaurant and shop are on the ground floor of our lovely timber-framed building, whilst on the first floor with stunning views is our purpose built events room available for private and corporate hire. With the facilities available in the Eco Centre and on the farm, Green Dragon makes an ideal venue for a training or team building venue with a difference.
