Pizza making to celebrate the end of a busy week for Year 6! Thank you to Miss Haynes for organising.

Year 6 SATS breakfast started off well this morning…it was a lovely way to begin the day!

In science Air Class retold the story of Lily and Rose; two flowers living in two very different conditions. Watch one of our groups performances to see what happened to the two flower friends!

We love visiting Smokey Row, our outdoor learning area, especially in the glorious sunshine! ☀️

We are so lucky to have the countryside on our doorstep so we can take our learning outside! ☀️

At GKS we have a Young Carers group called “Colossal Carers” and we had our first disco today followed by hot chocolate!

Air Class listened to music from composer Gustav Holst. They listened to two pieces; Venus (Goddess of Love) and Mars (God of War). As they listened the children draw symbols and pictures to represent what they were hearing.

The sun is finally here! ☀️☀️ Great fun at playtime today in the warm weather

In Air Class last week we started our new art unit. The children showed some amazing creative and fine motor skills whilst making their sculptures. They were very proud of their work and rightly so!

The children LOVE playing sports on the MUGA at break and lunch. It was great that we had a dry, sunny day yesterday for the fun to continue ☀️⚽️💚

The children coded a micro-bit to create a hamster! He is asleep in this picture, but if you shake him to wake him he will make a sad sound and a sad face!

The children had great fun in Art Club creating pictures with glitter and sequins!

Breakfast club is running again this term.

In Maths this week we have been investigating 6,
7 and 8. The children used classroom resources
to represent numbers in different ways, practiced
our subitising skills and looked at where the
numbers sit on a number line. We then moved
on to looking at 1 more and 1 less using a tens
frame and singing the song '8 in the bed'.

In Maths, in reception, we have been looking at 0 and numbers to 5. The children represented, sorted and subsidised numbers within 5 using a 5

In KS1 the children are learning about the human body and their senses. They drew around some of their classmates and then worked under the clock in teams to label as many body parts as possible.
The children's knowledge was phenomenal!

The children at have been using their
