Recently Fenews EU wrote about how tackling the digital divide needs to start at a young age and we couldn't agree more. The demand for digital literacy is increasing, and therefore, it’s important that classrooms are being shown the latest in technology and pupils are being shown how to use it.
Digital literacy within schools plays a vital role in bridging the digital divide. That's why, as part of our six tapestry strands, we focus on digital literacy, empowering our pupils to navigate technology safely and efficiently.
They not only access but actively engage with the digital world, honing skills to consume, understand, and produce digital contentβ€”essential for thriving in today's digital landscape. πŸ’»β€‹

One of the most important decisions you will make is choosing a school for your child, and at Griffin House School, we aim to make the school admissions process as straightforward and transparent as possible.

As a non-selective school, we do not administer exams because we value an approach that goes beyond testing, recognising that exams may not capture the complete essence of a child's potential. Our Headteacher personally welcomes prospective families, extending an opportunity for a warm greeting and addressing any questions they may have about our distinctive approach to learning.

At Griffin House, we focus on nurturing young minds in three essential environments:

πŸ€— The Emotional Environment: We prioritise safety and confidence, fostering an atmosphere where pupils can share, collaborate, and learn without the fear of making mistakes.

πŸ“š The Language-Rich Environment: Words are the key to unlocking thinking. We cultivate vocabulary and communication in meaningful contexts, supporting pupils on their learning journey.

🌿 The Physical Environment: Recognising the importance of movement for both physical and cognitive development, our spaces are designed to inspire exploration, interaction with nature, and abstract thinking.
