The A. W. Robinson Classroom in the Woods

Thank you so much for hosting a coffee morning and giving us the opportunity to bring our own children on a trip! Very relaxing not having 30+ kids in tow!!! 😳 What a beautiful day!!! ☀️
A huge huge thank you to Mr D and Grace for another fantastic day at classroom in the woods. Our children and staff just love every minute of being there so thank you!! Xx
I am in conversation with these guys to see if we can do a mountains topic day in autumn term.

As for the children ‘being behind’, I don’t think you can fall behind before the race starts ! So read, steady, Go !

Easter bunny hunt .... oops who found him !

This week’s activity from Mr D 🌟 We hope you are all okay and have a fantastic Easter weekend, even if things are a little different this year. Have a wonderful time making your insect homes and send us pictures when you’re done, and let us know what comes to live in your house! 🐜🐞🕷🐌

So here is this week’s activity 🌟 there are lots of stories about sticks - this activity was inspired by ‘Stanley’s Stick’. Look it up and read it if you can! No food involved this week, so I hope all of you can join in! Happy Dinosaur trekking! Can’t wait to see your pictures, Mr D 🦕

Queen Mary Avenue Infant and Nursery School

And if you don’t have any play dough, Mrs Neilson has posted a fantastic video to show you how to make it!

Happy Monday folks, seems very surreal not going into school today! A quick dough recipe for you for the dough disco later! I said I’d try to video, so here goes... 🙈💕🙌🏻👑
Send any videos of the kids joining in below...

Mr D’s activity this week is to make yourselves a ‘Spuddy Buddy’! Now we understand potatoes might be in short supply so you can use any vegetable, or some play dough if you have it. Basically anything that sticks can be put into to create your animal. Send us your pictures via Facebook Messenger (we won’t get them all if you just tag us) and we will share them to see what everyone has been up to. We can’t wait to see them 😊 have fun, Mr D and Grace x

So from today School’s are closed, and many people are teaching their children from home. Seeing as we cannot have anyone here on the farm, we thought we would bring the Classroom in the Woods to you! So each week Mr D is going to post an activity for you to do at home, outdoors in the garden if you can, and we want you to share your pictures with us so we can see what fantastic jobs you do at home. Please feel free to share and we cannot wait to see what you can achieve 🌟🌟 first activity will be posted tomorrow......

We could not have wished for better February weather this week with Edward Heneage Primary Academy for their Stone Age topic! Although the winter proved to be tricky to find much food for our hunters and gatherers! ☀️🔥🥬

We would like to wish all of our followers a very belated Happy New Year! We are back and look forward to welcoming our visitors from next week. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of the people that sent us lovely messages, offers of help, donated their time and their expertise to get us back on our feet following our break in. We have been overwhelmed by the kindness of people and gestures of goodwill. We are looking forward to seeing lots of you in 2020, and if you are interested in booking a visit, please send us a message 🐛🍄🌿🌻☀️

The A. W. Robinson Classroom in the Woods

It is with a very heavy heart that we have to write this post. Yet again, our wonderful little classroom has been trashed by burglars! We are devastated. We have no idea at the moment when we will be back up and running but we will keep all of our schools that are booked in up to date.

It was a pleasure, as always, to have Year 1 from Littlecoates Primary Academy with us today! We hope you all enjoyed mousing around with us 🐭

Year 1 have had an incredible Julia Donaldson inspired day at the Classroom in the Woods today. We made Stickmen, we hunted through the woods to find Stickman’s family tree, we built dens for the Gruffalo, we made toys for the Gruffalo’s Child and even turned into the Gruffalo ourselves. Thanks to Mr Dawson, Mr Robinson and Grace for giving us such a fantastic adventure.

And these

We had our last visit of the year yesterday with the brilliant Year 6’s from Elliston Primary Academy! We had a fun day to celebrate the end of their primary school days, talked about their aspirations and wrote them on pieces of wood to sail down the beck. We wish them lots of luck in their new Schools in September 🌟

Children talking....
Look a bird’s exploded !
How ?
I thinking it was eating dynamite.

Thank you Healing Primary Academy
