So getting back to the gym has reinforced something for me...โฃ

tracking my food most off the time and training regularly when I didn't want to as I was relatively unmotivated to train in my bedroom over the winter, has certainly paid off when getting back to the gym! โฃ
โฃ
The fact I havent lost much strength, im still in ok shape that wont take me long to dial in on, means Im so far ahead of where I would have been if I just stopped training for 3 months and now im so glad I did all those bedroom workouts!โฃ
โฃ
This is the same for any of your journey's. There is a lot of unpretty, sometimes tedious things that need to be done to get the body you want and then keep it. โฃ
โฃ

Do those things and it will compound over time and you'll thank yourself for it when youre rocking that body and keeping it forever. โฃ

Remember this when youre pissed off that you have to get up to go for an early walk when youre busy, say no to one more drink or that next bar of chocolate. It will be worth it in the long run! โฃ

One quick fire way to lose motivation is pairing the goals you have with actions and behaviours that don't match them. โฃ

The reason is that the actions you take won't have a direct or compounding effect on the goals you want to achieve and therefore when you measure your progress you wont see that your hard work for the actions you take is having an effect on the goals you want and this is just demoralising and demotivating. โฃ
โฃ
The classic one is using weight as your only progress marker when what you want to achieve is either fat loss related, performance, fitness and/or strength related. Therefore, the actions you take with your diet and training wont always impact the scale, yet you'll think if on monday the weight hasn't changed, that last week was a failure, when in fact it could have been a massive success. โฃ

Make sure that your progress markers make sense and pair with your planned actions and habits or you're shaping yourself up for problems. โฃ
