Happy Mother's Day to all our lovely Mummies!
Don't forget your Bag 2 School bag needs to be filled and back to preschool by Monday 19th March. If anyone needs extra bags please let Sarah know! Any amount you have to donate would be fantastic - it really all does make a difference.
In October we managed to raise a fantastic £60, which will be used towards purchasing a new laptop for our children. I'm sure you appreciate that IT now plays a massive part in our children's life and that this purchase will help with their progression to their primary life.
Attached is the link of what can be included in your bag.
Thank you so much for your continued support.
Julie, Sarah, Karen & Janice

Well done to all of the children for the hard work they put into the Easter play over the last few weeks, and for the performance today! We have had great fun with all of the activities and everyone was very excited to enter the Easter egg competition organised by Edwards Estate Agents. The Easter bonnets that came into Pre-School today were incredible, and it was great to see the children proudly show them off. We hope you all have a lovely Easter break!

This is our Chinese Dragon that we made for our Chinese New Year project! The children created the dragon head from their own ideas and then performed a dance using the Dragon and musical instruments
This week we have been looking at traditional fairy tales and we have been discussing ways to manage our emotions. The children have enjoyed the stories of Hansel and Gretel and Jack and the Beanstalk and have helped to act the stories out. They have also been incorporating the themes into the games that they play and have enjoyed leaving trails to follow and searching for magic golden eggs!
A small group of children today worked together to create a short story. The object of this exercise was to look at how stories are structured with a beginning, middle and end. The children had some fantastic ideas and worked well together, listening, and adding to each other’s ideas. It was great to see some of the topics that we have been discussing pop up within the story! This is all their own work with an occasional prompt of “What happened Next?” or “how did he feel?”. We hope that you enjoy the story……..
Once Upon a Time there was a pretty Princess with necklaces and a pink dress, and crown. She is friends with Tangled and Pascal. She loves to see Aurora, Rapunzel, and Cinderella. Her name is Princess Olivia Lilly. There is a dragon and Wobbly Witch. The dragon is stripy green and blue and is called Van. The Witch is called Pitchy Witch. The Princess is going to her house, the dragon is flying around looking at things and Pitchy Witch is sitting on her wobbly chair.
Pitchy Witch wanted to lock Princess Olivia Lilly in a cage so she flew on her broom to look for the Princess. She puts a sleeping spell on Princess Olivia Lilly and puts her in a cage! She has a crocodile guard her. Clumsy silly crocodile drops his hair clip and then his wife comes to tell him to come home for his dinner. Prince Hansy is fighting dragon Van. Prince Hansy says “stop, be kind” so dragon Van walks away and calms down, he counts to 10 and tells an owl in a tree. Prince Hansy says to the dragon “please can you help me to rescue princess Olivia Lilly?” Dragon says “of course”
They skip and fly to the cage where the Princess is and fly through the window. They need a golden harp to wake the princess and they must find it in the woods. They find it and go back to the Princess and wake her so that she can dance everywhere in the kingdom with Prince Hansy. Princess Olivia Lilly says “Thankyou”. They get in their carriage and tell the policeman “The witch got me to sleep, get the witch please!” Policeman says “ok” and puts Pitchy Witch in jail. Everyone is happy and they live happily ever after.
The children had great fun creating Gingerbread people for the St James Church Christmas Tree Festival
Today we performed our Christmas Play, well done to all of the children- you were all stars!!
