With the release of the new Cats film I would like to remind the old Alumni that as I was told we were in the first licenced production of Cats outside London - Directed by Mr Rodgers.
We had some exciting conversations leading to us having a potential venue to run a Brownie unit in Alveley! To give girls in the area the opportunity to be part of a local unit we now are looking for some volunteers to lead, run and help at the unit! Full training and support will be provided to you as you are welcomed into the Bridgnorth Division. For more information please contact Catherine Coleman on 07522495137

Hi,
I am doing a charity bike ride on 21st June from Wolverhampton to Aberdovey (www.aberdoveybikeride.co.uk ) consisting of 104.6 miles. I am raising money for the National Autistic Society (www.autism.org.uk ).
I have seen firsthand how Autism has a big impact on families on their day to day life, where even a small task like getting ready for school can be very challenging. With the help of the National Autistic Society families can receive support, advice and guidance to make their life easier. I feel the more people who know about autism and can recognise the signs, the more accepting society will be.
Autism is a lifelong, developmental disability that affects how a person communicates with and relates to other people, and how they experience the world around them.

Aberdovey Bike Ride organisers are proud to say that 100% of all donations reach the charity, all operating costs are from entry fees and all organisers and support crew provide their time for free.
The more money that you generously donate the more families can be helped and supported. Any donation will be gratefully received no matter how large or small.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, please “Just Give”

The school have organised a pebble trail around Alveley with the pebbles decorated by EYFS!

Please leave them in place until Monday then they can be re-hidden around the village.

Please let us know how many you find!

Grown ups... Start at the school, walk down Daddlebrook Road, along Greenway Avenue and through the alley. Then along past the doctors to the church and then back down the other side of Daddlebrook road, up the steps around Peacock Hill and around to the shops!

This week is #ChildrensMentalHealthWeek and there couldn't be a better time than during this current lockdown to talk with your kids about how they are feeling, it's tough missing friends, missing school and not doing the things kids should. There are loads of resources out there to help you have that conversation and make things easier. The pandemic will end at some point, until then let's give our little and not so little ones the help they deserve to get through this 👪

As we get closer to Christmas lots of people are decorating the outside of their houses with lights and decorations. Why not wrap up warm, go for a walk and see how many Christmas things you and your children can spot.

Here are some ideas for the whole family to look out for when walking outdoors - and more things to find inside your home.
