Hi everyone... Community learning & development worker Simone is meeting a development worker from the Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens this afternoon to get some pointers and ideas for the garden in the new campus. We'll keep you posted!

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to get involved in the garden... you don't need to be an expert (although experts are very welcome!) or even to have a garden.. but if you fancy having a go and would like you and/or your kids to be involved... please get in touch by calling Simone Sinclair at the community centre on (019755) 63651, or by popping in. Here are some photos of the garden - looking fab. Happy Gardening everyone!

[08/05/15]   Thanks to everyone who came along to our Community Catch up day yesterday! We'd especially like to thank the volunteers from the Parents' Network, The Alford Community Garden and the Youth Transitions Project who provided 'cress head' planting, bug hunts, space themed fun and face painting activities. We also welcomed representatives from many other community groups. Everyone who came along had the chance to see the plans for the new Alford Community Campus and to ask any questions they might have. We'll be having another event later in the year and so we'll keep you posted. We'll keep in touch and keep you informed about the move. Thanks again!

Adam Coldwells Chief Officer for Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership would like to invite you to attend one of the upcoming community engagement events in the Marr Area.

New legislation has been introduced in Scotland to transform the way health and social care services are provided. Since the Bill was passed in 2014, Aberdeenshire Council and NHS Grampian have set up integrated partnership arrangements that will provide seamless health and social care services for patients and their families in Aberdeenshire.

A local strategic plan for health and social care services will be drafted in 2015. This plan will set out priorities to ensure high quality person centred care is provided and health and wellbeing improvements are achieved in Aberdeenshire.

Input from individuals, communities and other interested stakeholders will be key to ensuring that this plan delivers long-lasting benefits for Aberdeenshire’s Communities. Community engagement events will be held across Aberdeenshire to provide local residents and stakeholders an opportunity to discuss these changes and challenges and more importantly help identify priorities.
