They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.

As we wake today with such a profound sense of loss and pain we begin mourning our dear Queen Elizabeth II. A most incredible person, leader and inspiration to us all, her legacy of devotion, hard work and love for her subjects will live on.
Today we will have a short assembly with the children and over the mourning period other activities to honour her life and herald the reign of King Charles III; long live the king.

School is open all week, but we will be adjusting things for the weather.
Children can wear PE kit to school all week, if they want to wear their uniform then please make sure your child brings their PE kit to school on Monday and leaves it here for the week so we can do PE when the weather is right.
Years 1-6 also need their swimming kit from Monday morning so they can swim during the week too.
Please make sure children have lots of sun cream on and their water bottle. If the weather does reach the heights they are predicting we will not be outside for the lunchtime break but have this inside to reduce exposure to the heat; we'll take a day at a time.
If you see any other local offers to help parents during the summer holidays, please do share below.
We seem to be in the midst of a Covid outbreak, we have had a member of staff per week for the last five weeks and now it has accelerated we have 5 staff and now a pupil affected.
Please monitor your child for any symptoms and remember to keep them off school if they are too unwell to be here and until they are well enough to return.
We do not want this spreading throughout the school and whilst the symptoms seem to be mild, we do not want anyone to be unnecessarily unwell.
Year 6 are selling lollies and Ice Creams afterschool in the playgrounds on Friday after school.

Our ethos is that the children, in all that they do, will embody these qualities:
We Care about every child and foster this caring attitude in all that we do. We teach children to care about themselves, others in school and those in the wider world.
We Learn. We want every child to achieve their potential, ensuring all have embedded the key skills of reading, writing, speaking and listening and maths when they leave primary school. Based on the Early Learning Goals and National Curriculum for Primary Schools learning is enriched through special events, visits and visitors. We believe passionately in educating the “whole child”, broadening children’s interests and developing skills so that they can excel, love learning and make ambitious choices for their lifelong learning and future.
We Shine. We want children to shine, every child is unique and we nurture this to allow them to shine and enjoy each day of school so that they live rich and full lives. We celebrate and recognise when children have made personal, class and school achievements. We expect children to take on responsibilities and have many special opportunities. We are proud to support events and organisations in our community and the world.
