We are so proud of our school and community!
The children are smashing the miles out everyday and we have already hit our target.
Thank you to everyone that is supporting the children and a big thank you to the children for their efforts.
We are still thinking some teachers might have to do a few laps but the children are making it easier for us!

For Red Nose Day this Friday, we are inviting the children to dress up as a pandemic hero. They may chose to be a nurse, a soldier, a doctor, a shop worker, a delivery driver - anyone who has helped us during this time.
If your child would like to instead wear school uniform and paint on a red nose, we would love to see that too. Please be advised that we are asking noses to be painted rather than having children wear red noses due to our ongoing commitment to hygiene during this period.
Please send your child with a £1 donation if they are taking part.

As there has been a lot of negative press regarding free school meal hampers, this is the food box Talavera Junior School are delivering (via Morrisons) to our eligible children we thought we’d share with you. This is for one child, who would be entitled to 5 school dinners, costing £12.50 a week (cost of food and service from HC3S). We hope they enjoy it!

[01/04/21]   URGENT - SCHOOL CLOSURE following PM's Announcement

Dear Parents/Carers,

Following the announcement this evening from the Government, school will now be closed on Tuesday 5th January to ALL children.

We are asking you to respond to a form on ParentMail if you are a Critical worker and require a school place for your child. This form MUST be completed by 12 noon on Tuesday 5th January to ensure we allocate provision correctly. We need to ensure the correct provision is in place for all children, whether they are at home or in school.

At the end of this letter, we have included the Government’s definition of a Critical worker to help you identify if your child can attend school. To ensure the continuity of learning all of the children attending school will be accessing the same remote learning that is sent home to the parents.

Your response will help us to deploy staff appropriately in a COVID secure way.

If your child is classed as vulnerable or has an Education Health and Care plan we will contact you tomorrow about a return to school from Wednesday 6th January.

We will email you with further information regarding accessing the home learning tomorrow.

Thank you once again for your ongoing support during this time.

Mrs Amanda Webb
