C3 Community Coding Club - Cosford

Unfortunately due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the closure of the RAF Cosford hive and the Lack of sufficient handwashing facilities in the building the Cosford Coding club will be closed until the 20th of April.

We are sorry for this inconvenience but it is currently out of our hands. We thank you for your patience and cant wait to see you when we reopen.

****C3 Cancelled 11th November**** Hello coder's sorry to say we are having some difficulties getting staff to run tonight's session.

*** C3 Cancelled 04 Nov *** Due to illness we cant run the club tonight. We should be back next Monday.

*** C3 Cancelled 8th July *** apologies for the late cancellation. I was trying to work out away of not cancelling but unfortunately cant find away round it. So due to a last minute work commitment we will not be on tonight. We will be back next week for the end of term summer party.

Unfortunately due to Promotion courses, airshow commitments and work commitments (I am currently stuck on the M25!) C3 will not be opening this evening. Our sincere apologies for the late notice. We will of course be reopened next week.

R.I.P Opportunity.

The first rover to add colour to the red planet and ignite interest in sending crewed missions to its surface.

After half term we will be focuasing back on the Duke of York iDEA awards.

For new members we will be working theough the bronze level badges to earn you your bronze award by the end of the term.

For our legacy members, Silver has now been released so you will have our support to upgrade your award to the next tier and open new opportunites for the future.

If you are new to C3 and the iDEA scheme we ask could you please sign up for an account over half term as it makes the first night back significantly easier.

****C3 Cancelled Tonight****

Hi everyone I am sorry to say coding club will not be open tonight. I am currently at home with a bug and Ross is away on his resettlement course. So it leaves us with no option but to postpone until next week.

22nd october 2018

Unfortunately We are down to one instructor available again tonight between 6:30 and 7:30 which would normally mean we are unable to open. However as it is the last week of the term and the viewing of the film that the students have spent the term making I am reluctant to close!

Would there be any parents willing to stay for the first hour until a second instructor can join us enabling us to open this evening?

Due to staffing issues C3 Cosford will be starting back a week later than expected on the 17th of September. Apologies for the delay, hope you all had a great summer holiday and we will see you next week!

Regretfully due to RAF100, RIAT commitments and family illness C3 will not have enough staff to open this evening. At this time we intend to reopen next week for a party night before the half term. Our sincere apologies for yet another cancellation but it's a busy year for the RAF and as a training camp we are first pick to support RAF100 events!

Unfortunately due to all our instructors being occupied with the 2018 RAF Cosford Air Show (Official) disassembly process we will not be opening tonight (Mon 11th June). Please accept our apologies and we hope to see you all next week to continue your coding journey!!

This week at using SAMlabs modules and dash robots to learn about circuit architecture and program design. Thanks to Tablet Academy Uk for the loan of the SAMlabs kits and to our student C3 ambassador Jack McNee for running the session.

Attention all future coders and programmers!!!

C3 Cosford will be starting back this evening with a new project run by one of our student coding ambassadors Jack Mcnee. This term we will be looking at system design and construction using kits made.by SAM labs. Using motors, switches, sensors and a tablet based interface we will design circuits to meet a number of challenges during the term.

First week is free and just £1 a week thereafter. Squash and biscuits provided during the break and parents are always welcome to join in and find out all about our modern digital world, Don't worry we can find you a cup of tea if it gets a bit too much 😉!

Can't wait to see you all at the RAF Cosford HIVE this evening from 6:30 until 8:30!
