Meet our two new lambs Axel and Beau. They're here tomorrow for Wild Walk and Nature Play when you can play outdoors, explore and enjoy a walk, with our booklet and map to help guide you around our venue, and treat yourself to a cuppa and cake.
Why not visit our new lambs, resident pets and let your children enjoy some freedom to play in our adventure and natural play areas. Tickets are available up to 11am, 19th June 2021.

What a lovely day for a picnic at Kingswood Trust!
Join us tomorrow at 10am 15th June for Park and Play. Here you can play and explore the woods in the cool and shade, enjoy a walk or, just relax together outdoors in our beautiful 9 acre site.
Woody’s Snack Stop will be open for refreshments and ice creams and we have plenty of picnic tables and areas to sit as well as some under cover seating.
Tickets are available up to 11am on the day.
A big welcome to our newest member of staff to the Kingswood Trust family, Jude Taverner. Jude is delighted to join us as our Forest Leader. Amongst many outdoor activities, Jude will be organising minibeast hunts, den building and art therapy based activities. She'll also be helping out our events too and is looking forward to meeting everyone.
Don't forget, our next event is tomorrow at 10am, Wild Walk and Nature Play for anyone looking for adventure play, meeting some animals and to explore our woodlands. Tickets are available up 11am on the day.

More great work from our volunteers...Murray, Mark, Tony, David T and others...The chickens have moved from their old house to a new build - with work from start to nearly finish from our volunteers and the ducks will be soon to arrive. We have recycled and repurposed wherever possible too. Coco and the girls are happy again post lockdown and Avian flu too. Thanks everyone. Your time, efforts and skills are very much appreciated.

This week is Volunteers Week. I'd like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to all our amazing friends and supporters who volunteer for the Kingswood Trust. It has been a difficult year for everyone and we know that with your support we have made it through.
Our 9 acre site offers a range of opportunities for people of all ages with different interests and skills. You might like to come along and see what you could contribute and how you can benefit from being outdoors in nature, maintaining, wildlife surveying and developing our site as well as helping with other activities such as marketing, events and serving in Woody's our catering hub. Are you looking for a fun break in a countryside location this weekend? Nestled in our picturesque site, the ORB building offers accommodation with natural views. Sleeps up to 16 in three bedrooms, the ORB has been newly refurbished to provide five star quality modern accommodation, while retaining the charm of an older building. It has a fully accessible bathroom, central heating in all rooms and a well-equipped kitchen.
The snug area has a cosy log burner and luxurious leather sofas, WiFi, a large screen and projector, and a CD/DVD player. A selection of DVDs, books, games and toys are available for your use. The dining room has a large table with chairs. Outside, the three firepit areas provide a wonderful secluded place to relax and enjoy outdoor cooking. All-weather table and chairs, and cob oven are available for your use outside the kitchen in the main building.
Enjoy the woodland adventure areas and climb our trees. You’ll be inspired by our wildlife habitats and creative sculptures. You can follow secret pathways into our forest areas or spend time in our fields.

Half-term is almost here! Amongst all the fun at Kingswood Trust during the holiday, you can come for a pond dip and get the chance to explore nature. Find the minibeasts by following an orange trail on our children's orienteering course and complete the active challenges at each point. Use the orange punches to check them off on your bingo card. Bring a picnic and a blanket. we have lots of space and picnic benches. Hot and cold drinks, snacks, burgers, ice creams and gifts are available at Woody’s Snack Stop. Get your tickets on Eventbrite.

Hazel Shuttleworth and Aubrey Law went on a trip down memory Lane at our Nature Connections Event this week. Hazel was delighted to revisit the Robins dormitory where she stayed on a school residential with Eastfield Junior School back in the 1950s and Aubrey stands in our beautiful refurbished ORB, once the boys dorm, when he was a boarder at Kingswood Trust also during the 1950s. It was super to hear their stories of the wonderful time they had at Kingswood Trust back then and...this week. 😀

Every Wednesday afternoon 1– 4pm come and join us for our Wildlife Wednesdays. No booking required this is volunteering session for those age 16+
We will be outdoors looking at plants, insects, trees and animals so that we can create a list of all things living on our site. This will help us prove that our planting and grounds work programme has had a positive impact on biodiversity at Kingswood Trust this year.
You don’t need any wildlife knowledge to take part, just a passion for nature and the willingness to learn more.

There is something here for everyone of all abilities and interests, including conservation, wildlife surveying, gardening, maintenance, crafts and events volunteering.
We are offering Duke of Edinburgh Award volunteering for people 14 years and older and all other volunteering opportunities are available for people 16 years and over.
