Branching Out Learning

It’s been a while- missed the wood, so got up early and enjoyed the smells and the sounds of the Forest. Lots of lovely memories came flooding back of our Branching Out Tots and Branching Out Learning groups over the years🥰🥰

We loved our last Nature Art Attack session at Pontymoile Canal Basin. We created clay boggarts, made blackberry paint and journey sticks! Thanks so much to the Canal and River Trust and Hannah Cubie for making these sessions possible!

Free climbing sessions at Pontymoile Canal Basin this Saturday!

We loved our time at Pontymoile Canal Basin celebrating the Myfanwy Haycock Poetry Trail launch. We had lots of fun building dream rafts and testing them. We also enjoyed creating our Myfanwy magic carpets.

Ignore the rain, put your coats on- we are here at Pontymoile Canal under the gazebos, near to the gorgeous cafe, ready to make lots of nature art with you!

I will be at Pontymoile Canal Basin,
Fountain Road, NP4 ORF on Saturday making mini rafts and mini weavings to celebrate the Myfanwy Haycock Trail launch. Enjoy the free activities in a beautiful spot!

Pontymoile Basin / Basn Camlas Pontymoel will be awash with poetry dream rafts, Myfanwy magic carpets and an interactive mud garden, led by Donna from Branching Out Learning. 30 Days Wild- Day 5 for me: fantastic nature learning with the amazing children at Meadowbank. We learnt about minibeasts, used clay outdoors and practised building a fire! I also took some time to begin my wildflower bunting- inspired by Saturday’s art sessions.

30 Days Wild- Day 4 for me: a coffee outside and a close encounter with andamselfly. Stunning colours!

30 Days Wild has arrived- challenging you to do something each day linked to nature to improve well-being/conservation/ knowledge. Day 1 for me: a walk with my teenager, talking about life and noticing the wild flowers. Wonderful!
