Ditching the satnav: the lost secrets of natural navigation

While probably not attuned to my surroundings to quite the same extent as #TheNaturalNavigator I'm relieved to say that his words of wisdom are part of my own sixth sense! I always look forward to getting out and practicing. Nature is full of clues to help you find your way – if you know where to look. [05/08/13]   Oops. The weather on Saturday 4th May was great; early in the morning. By the time the Wild About The Forest event began, the sun had disappeared behind a solid blanket of cloud, so I couldn't even set up my shadow stick. Visitors also stayed at home and did not indulge in the events of the day including ours. Nevermind, it was good to hook up with the FCS staff at The Lodge and take my kids out for a wildlife treasure hunt and watch my wife do some colouring in, on the crafts stall!

[12/08/12]   We had a great first Christmas Crafts event today, made better by the Fintry Family Network who showed up for a walk in the woods and to make some decorations. We hope to see them again one day. 26/09/2012
