Brianne 10th birthday party she just loves snakes thanks again for doing it
Fabulous night tonight with my group of Brownies. Recommend the Critter Keepr 100%. Very knowledgeable and my girls were thoroughly entertained even with the jokes. Had some brilliant feedback from their families. Thank you 🙏
We found this spider on the trampoline and wondered what kind it was. We thought it was unusual because it was so bright and really fast. Cara(8) and her Mum (muc, much older than 8)🕷
Just seen your tv debut on the children’s hospital! 👍

Incy has been out of action the last week while she changes her exoskeleton. I hate it whenever any of the Arthropods do this as it’s extremely dangerous stage of their life as sometimes things can go wrong & they get stuck during the process & can lead to death. With Incy being the main spider I use I get a little nervous. Well today I checked in on her & she has successfully molted, she chose to do this in her water bowl of all places stupid spider 🤦🏻‍♂️ lol 😂 so incy will be ready to go out an about again soon 🕷❤️

Big thanks to Albyn out of school club, Northfield Congregational church & Hazelhead summer camp for having us visit today. Hope you all enjoyed meeting the crew & I.
Wednesdays are usually my big feed days. So the days the animals that only eat once a week get fed, snakes & bugs etc.
I Lifted the big piece of wood in the giant centipedes tub & found her coiled up clutching some eggs 😱 as you can see in the video below.
This has happened to be once before, but it resulted in her eating the eggs. So we will see if anything comes of these guys.

Busy day out at Aden Country park for the second day of the scaled back Wild about Aden ticket event. Great seeing so many faces. It was great fun as always & Fingers crossed we will see the Wild about Aden we all know & love next summer so even more people can enjoy it. Thanks again for having us & thanks to all who came along to meet us. Putting the crew to bed thought I’d attempt a selfie with Rocky, not easy doing it with one hand while holding a 6ft boa constrictor lol 😂 🐍❤️ #wrigglingheavysnake

Super sad to announce, the extremely popular Krimet the whites tree frog has passed away 😢. He was one of the original crew members right from the start when I started up the critter keeper 9 years ago. For the 10 years I knew krimet he never missed a party & brought joy to many & also shock from the one time he jumped into the birthday girls face. Lol 😂 I will never forget you as you will always be with me on my badge smiling along side me. Rest in peace little guy. 💔

Can’t stay mad at this crazy little bird. Today he decided to fly up into the rafters of the Macbi sports hall in Mintlaw & stay there until everyone left 🤦🏻‍♂️ feel free to share your pictures of Popeye in the rafters lol 😂

Our busy week continues, with visits to the Middlefield community project & schools out club in Westhill, thanks for having us & hope everyone enjoyed the visits.
Once home I had a massive clean out & feed of the animals, Rocket doesn’t seem too happy I was taking pictures while he was munching lol 😂

[07/06/21]   Busy day at Aden country park today, as we returned for the first time since summer 2019, it wasn’t the Wild About Aden we all know & love, with all the other activities going too, but it was just as fun meeting you all. Look forward to returning in August.

Highlight of my day was when a little fan approached to hold Mr Tickles the cockroach & said, “Hi Critter Keeper have you managed to catch all the cockroaches that you dropped during the lockdown video”
The fact he remembered the prank I played during my lockdown lives, he also believed i really dropped a whole box of cockroaches in my house lol 😂

When feeding & cleaning out Rocket the raccoons enclosure, you can’t get anything done as he will playfully bite & generally annoy & not leave you alone, so I put him in his carry box for a few minutes as it’s the safest way to keep him & the other animals from harm. Just recently though he’s discovered that he can still move around while in the carry box lol 😂 🤦🏻‍♂️🦝

What a cracking weekend for parties, we enjoyed the sunshine ☀️ while out & about. Thanks for having us visit your party this weekend, we hope you all enjoyed meeting the crew & I. Between parties today I stopped for lunch & shared some grape 🍇 & apple 🍏 with a messy Popeye 🦜❤️

The start of a really busy month has begun & lots of visits up coming to schools & nurseries all over the North East. Yesterday & today we enjoyed a full day in school at Banchory primary seeing the 2 nursery classes & all other classes from P1 to P6. I received some fan mail today from a class who saw us yesterday with some pictures of their favourite animals, here’s a few below & it’s safe to say I think Popeye the parrot was a particular favourite as he featured in most of the pictures, including one where he’s wearing a hat 🎩 🦜lol 😂
Thanks ever so much for having us & look forward to seeing you again in the future.

Wow the busiest weekend we’ve had since before Covid was a thing. A whooping 7 parties this weekend, thank you everyone for having us & we hope you all enjoyed meeting the crew & I. We also got the opportunity to meet quite a few friendly dogs, as the unusual smells from the critter hub & on me got their curiosity, good chance they also smelt my dog Chiqa who was sitting waiting to greet me when I got home. 🐶❤️👍

We enjoyed a visit to Banchory school this morning as we delivered a mini beast workshop. Jabba enjoyed his first visit out in over a year. He’s part of the mini beast workshop, not because he is a mini beast but because he enjoys eating them lol 😝🐸❤️
Thanks for having us.

[05/11/21]   With today’s government announcement we can confirm as of the 17th of May we will be able to do our parties inside again. 👏The outside hub I currently use takes around 20 mins to set up & 20mins to take down & I require a helper to help me do this. This also means we can’t do as many parties in a day as we need to allow additional time for this. We can’t guarantee the weather in the North East with strong winds this can also make it difficult to set up. For the safety of the animals it’s also better to be inside. You can also up the number of children attending from 10 to 15.
If anyone has any questions regards to this please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Slowly we’re getting there & starting to feel like it was before 🤞
Thanks

Won’t say no to free bugs lol 😂
Got a parcel this afternoon from a supplier I’ve used in the past for various different bugs. It was addressed to me with the usual this parcel contains live creatures handle with care sticker on the box.
Thing is I’ve not ordered any new critters since last year? Opened it & the invoice was addressed to a guy in Kent. Phoned the supplier & told her the mix up & she thanked me for letting her know & said just keep them & she will send out a new shipment to the correct person. So I now have a regal jumping spider in my care along with some cockroaches that will be added to the colony I already have lol 😂

Wow! What a busy weekend from Saturday through to today we’ve had 8 parties.
Today was particularly challenging though with the weather. We’ve waited 4 months to be able to get back out again & the North East weather decides to give us gale force winds & SNOW! It’s April we’re passed that, weather your drunk go home 🤦🏻‍♂️ Didn’t think we would need the heaters for a spring day but they came in handy. Thank you so much for having us & we hope you all enjoyed meeting the crew & I. Over the next few weeks our weekend slots are filling up so we do have limited availability left if you fancy having us visit you with the animals please do get in touch.
Have a great rest of Easter Weekend guys 👍
